For sure - Tippett is real streaky too though. I guess I'm just wondering what I'm missing in paying big assets for him. If he had another gear or could really break out in a bigger role. . .
Tippett could be streaky but he’s also a good skater and is engaged at all times. Pretty physical guy too. Hounds pucks, can even be a bit ratty at times.

When he’s not scoring he’s still visible out there.

Rather sign Arvidsson for less and keep the 1st+?
Tippett isn’t 34 and hasn’t spent half of his playing career on the IR. He’d be a play for the present and the future, where Arvidsson MAY be a play 2/3 of a season if we’re lucky.

We’ll see what Arvidsson signs for… I bet it’ll be a number comparable to Tippett’s AAV.

That’s worth a 1st in my opinion.

How about a nice blockbuster..

To Columbus:
Hagens
Letourneau
Boston 1st 2026
Boston 1st 2028
Lohrei
Mittelstadt (cap purposes)

To Boston:
Werenski
Fantilli

Who says no?
Columbus unfortunately, I would do that deal in a heartbeat. 4 lottery tickets in the picks, Letorneau and Hagens, a meh defender in Lohrei and a middle six forward for a world class defender and another lottery ticket in Fantilli who has shown he will at least be a NHL player.

Bruins would have to add.

Didn't Timothy Leary warn you about the brown acid?

Wonder if John Carlson would come to Boston on a cheaper one year deal since he's from the area. Not the best option, but could be a good bang-for-your-buck signing if he takes a hometown discount.
He was born in Massachusetts, but he spent most of his childhood in New Jersey and grew up a Devils fan.

I do agree that I would sign him to a short term deal, much more interested in that then giving Raddysh or Andersson a seven/eight year deal, even if the AAV is high for Carlson
