  • Congrats to our latest Sportsbook winners - GOLD MEDAL kihei, SILVER MEDAL fish7 and BRONZE MEDAL Sammy Kat - new tournament begins today 6/15
It was a great deal by the Leafs.
They freed up 5M in cap space, that is like gold.....have around 29M now to spend and they will spend it.
Woll was always hurt and they have a better goalie in the AHL that is leading the Marlies to the Calder Cup.
Benoit is a UFA next year and a 6th dee at best.
This moves bothers me as with McKenna coming on board and more UFA's being signed by them, our first round pick ( 2 years from now), might be a later pick vs our pick.
I see this pick being somewhere between 21-24 now.
Cap space is rapidly losing value.

There's literally not enough good UFA's for teams to spend money on.

How about a nice blockbuster..

To Columbus:
Hagens
Letourneau
Boston 1st 2026
Boston 1st 2028
Lohrei
Mittelstadt (cap purposes)

To Boston:
Werenski
Fantilli

Usually the team who gets the best player we got best 2

Hell yeh !!!! Let’s do it

Id be shocked of PHI trades him. He's perfect for RT's system. He has speed, size, gets to the dirty areas and hits. Why would a team trade that away?

I'm sure they don't want to move Michkov, but he's not made for RT's system and saw hos TOI drop when the coaching changed happened

If Kuraly is traded it’s Matty Poitras time - I’m on board

What does that even mean though? Were they just talking about these two players or was their trade talk? Im assuming Lohrei has been brought up in trade conversations before but I have a hard time seeing Kuraly garner much interest.

I don’t disagree that what you suggested is close to what Columbus would want.

But I think it’s too much to give up.

I like Tippett a lot as well. Basically a lock for 50 points. Would fit here like a glove. I just wonder if he’s worth the price…I see no reason why they would give him away cheap.

I would almost rather bet Bobby McMann can replicate this past season and save the assets.

Feel like a 1st + is the minimum

He’s 23, can his skating be improved? I haven’t watched him enough is he noticeably slow?

If he can continue to improve he might be worth the gamble. At age 23 Zacha’s career high in points was 35 and Zacha wasn’t/ isn’t exactly know for his elite skating.

Would you rather give Zacha 8m per on a long deal or pay McTavish 7m per (UFA at age 28)?

Would the Ducks want Zacha? I like Zacha but it’s hard to ignore his playoff failures here in Boston.
Why not both, the depth certainly will not hurt.

Make every effort to add someone else and pull Letourneau back, The I could get really excited about this team again.
