Not to be that guy, but i called that earlier today... just makes sense if they are keeping parayko.

They have 11 15th and 16th picks.... which is prob pretty close to McTavish value....

They also have Jiricek/Carboneau.... Jiricek is a RHD with upside.... Carboneau is prob a forward we know a lot about... he fits our general QMJHL bigger forward obsession.

One would have to assume that Verbleak wants a top 4 RD back in any trade for McTavish. I don't see how St Louis can accommodate that if Parayko is off the table.

I don't know if I said this earlier in the thread or not, but if I didn't, for the people who are concerned about the fact that the US olympians all appear to be choosing the same 3-4 teams, keep in mind that about 4-5 years ago, there was a period where seemingly everyone wanted to go play in New Jersey. Things move quick in the league.

FWIW Madden said in an interview that he was surprised teams were trading picks so willy-nilly because he thought the top 15 is quite good and the Blues have 11, 15 and 16.
