I feel like we are overvaluing McT based on draft position. We just benched him all post season (almost) and he proved he is way to slow, not physical enough and doesn’t read the game well enough to even make the 4th line. Teams trading for him watched those games too. The only hope with McT is he rebounds next year and somehow was thrown off all year because he didn’t start the season in shape for some reason. Feels like a stretch to me.

He has a good shot and can pick up some points if his linemates can carry him but he is pretty bad at everything else.

14 in 13 games... nothing crazy... but not terrible.

His season wasnt awful, just a step back form the previous year when kings fans were trying to say "we got the same player as the ducks at 3"

How about Greentree+Schneider+Laba+26th?

Greentree will replace Mctavish as the big, slow footed offensive forward, Schneider fills a RD since no free agent wants to come to Anaheim unless it’s an overpay, and Laba replaces Viel since he might not resign. We might have some spare cash to offer overpay a free agent and give them the Klingberg special.

He had wrist surgery last offseason so started slow, and his team lost some good players, so his numbers went down. Still a really good prospect though.

The "good" outcome for him would probably be like a Knies.
