I don’t think the trade activity stops today
If anything yesterday was setting the stage
Fun stuff

For sure boutta get paid big timeGreer would be a good pick up, but man he’s going to get over paid in free agency I assume
Quoted wrong thing
Agreed. We have a lot of guys in the pipeline that were drafted, let's say top 90. Not all of them are going to hit but we could end up with a number of really good adds to the core that were homegrown. Also what about all the other great pieces we have still developing. Do you think no one else will be any good? Are you ready to place all the defensive prospects and youngsters as failures? Are you rushing now? Everything you are saying isn’t adding up.
You can dislike the JC trade all you want. I understand that take completely. There will be differing opinions on it. At this point we lost a late first for a player who left and that’s all it is.
Your comparisons to LA or saying this will haunt us for years is way over exaggerated and a completely pessimistic look that makes no sense compared to how bright our future actually looks. It’s like you want bad things to happen. It’s annoying.
So yeah. If 9th is flipped in a package for Nikishin, I'd find the trade a lot less dumb.Nikishin likely goes to SJ , tbh
I am curious if that tuch sign and trade comes into fruition
That 9th Pick is about to be fliped more than a Amsterdamn Window WorkerSo yeah. If 9th is flipped in a package for Nikishin, I'd find the trade a lot less dumb.
Feels like a trade involving McT with Spence coming back the other way is becoming more and more likelyThey have Zub, Spence, and Yakeumchuk already, so if they are looking for RD I would assume it's because Spence is getting traded.
Gonna be hilarious if the pick pans out nicely for whoever gets it nextThat 9th Pick is about to be fliped more than a Amsterdamn Window Worker
Someone in a discord I'm in said the pick is gonna be passed around like a blunt. That 9th Pick is about to be fliped more than a Amsterdamn Window Worker
Maybe they would if we were willing to take on Kotkaniemi's terrible contract...
We should be all over this, but since Carolina is so analytics based I doubt they'd have any interest in mctavish.
Good post. Worth noting that Anaheim had only 26 RW this past season which was sixth fewest in the entire league. OT and SO wins masked what was a pretty mediocre season. And you can’t expect to repeat that 4th period performance every year. And I see lots of holes in the lineup that will be very expensive to fill if they can be filled at all.I mean, we don’t really have that many pieces or high caliber prospects (and you absolutely don’t want to move McQueen or Solberg). A 1st is meaningful, especially around the draft. If we’re going to turn our 3rd overall pick McT into just some late 1st, that isn’t good. I agree that tomd is overdoing his thing a bit, because we really haven’t made enough moves that put such a clear emphasis on the now with disregard for the future, but it’s not like there isn’t room for concern. The mere repetitive hopium of Verbeek cooking some more or less tasty dish isn’t really bringing more to the table than his negative outlook, in all fairness.
+1000I like Greer, but I’d rather have Viel at half the price.
I think greer will get $5 million perI like Greer, but I’d rather have Viel at half the price.
(Hands rubbing together )Then you can shame me for doubting him in a few days when he performs his magic.
There’s no way a 4th line wing gets that much. I could maybe see $4M, but that’s still pushing it.I think greer will get $5 million per
Just to warn you though…I won’t be the least bit impressed by any trades verbeek makes where the age of the acquired player starts with a “3”.(Hands rubbing together )
Yeah, I kinda expect him to be one of this year’s Comphers/Copps.I think greer will get $5 million per
Dakota Johnson signed at $3.25 per in 24/25, which was roughly 3.6% of the cap. Five million per at our current cap would be 4.8%.There’s no way a 4th line wing gets that much. I could maybe see $4M, but that’s still pushing it.
The 9th being in play really only made sense if they could flip it but even thinking about it pre-Eklund their other pieces probably made more sense. I’m still a bit skeptical they’d trade Yakemchuk but we’ve seen teams do things you wouldn’t expect these last couple days in an attempt to keep up.
no thank you to spence. with trouba and carlson gone, they need to go after size. not another drysdale25+Greig+Spence would be nice, I guess. This trade market is a little insane
