Minty doesnt have that kind of value. People are really overvaluing our assets to the degree people make fun of other teams fans on the trade boards wanting our better players for lower value pieces.

I just wished we had 3 or so Viel/Carrick/Greer types... guys that can actually play up and down the lineup and forecheck with real intentions..... and 1-2 Middleton types on the blueline.

Those are not guys that can play up and down the lineup. Those are 3 4th liners on a good team. Would be a great 4th line but if they're anywhere else you're lacking.

It would if the rumors of Buffalo and San Jose offering top 10 picks for Knies is true. Minty+ McT or Mcqueen is really the only way to get close.

I guess it’s going to come down to whether the beeker thinks Lacombe can carry a middling dman. Or if he wants to sure up Lacombe with a paryko… Or if he wants to truly upgrade the top 6 from Kreider to a knies. You all think he can’t get both done ( without adding a solberg or a McQueen )

I think we need a complementary mid-pairing D that can play with LaCombe carrying them (like Trouba was), and a second mid-pairing D that can play like a mid-pairing D, assuming that they can play with Mintyukov.

To maintain a similar level to last year, we don't need a top-pairing D. Anaheim was able to find those type of d-men to play higher up in the lineup often under Murray.

We did have a surprise with the late call-up in Hinds and Helleson's playoff performance on the third line. Therein lies our problem, we have a lot of youth D that haven't taken a huge step forward like LaCombe or need NHL experience like Hinds and Luneau. There's a small possibility that we run an all youth blueline, but that would be a very raw idea on our minds.

The stars have had him for years in trade rumors. He isnt anything close to a heart and soul player. Evident by him wanting max term and dollar on a true cup contender in a tax free state. I really hope he gets paid max dollar and becomes the next cheechoo.

I'm never going to fault anyone for wanting to get paid. It's not like he hasn't earned it.

Are we really going to lose Viel? I mean, how much is he asking for? I was hoping we added both Viel and Greer, but are we really striving to be the softest team in the league? Common Beeker... Viel is the absolute minimum resigning before the draft...

Hes done it before already and it was the worst season for this franchise also embarrassing to watch

No, it's shocking that trouba and parayko are going considered in the same tier.

I think he still was physical but not the punishing defender he was with the Rangers. I think if he was dropped to the 3rd pairing he would have adjusted. Either way Trouba cant be the only physical defender as of now they have nobody just like a couple seasons ago

I’ve been one of the biggest Trouba bulls around. But parayko is a tier ahead no Doubt.
