Team Canada should hire Torts when he finally leaves Philly

“You create a team that you fit in different roles and to be successful you need to do that,” Anholt said. “I don’t think that just looking at stats and bringing the most goals or the most assists, I don’t think that, that really does it. I think you have to look at character, you have to look at how they compete in any situation and I think we were comfortable with the group.”

That’s not really the choice, it’s Michkov, Perreault, Buium and Hutson for MM, Bonk, Luchanko and Edm’s 1st. Not really even close.

Buium played 29 minutes tonight, controlled the game completely. JFC he’s a STUD.

Can’t wait for Deady’s 2000 word diatribe in 2028 explaining how 3C Luchanko is really a better player than 1D Buium when you carefully compare a minuscule example of relatively meaningless advanced stats.

I thought Hutson went in 2nd round and the oilers took someone else?

They could have taken him with that pick instead of trading out.
Ok. You could change every draft in that regard then. I thought he was matching pick for pick.

Let's see in three years.

Benson in his 2nd season, 34g 6-6 12 (ES), not exactly tearing up the league.
And he's a better version of Perreault.

Neither Perreault or Buium are sure things to be top 6/1st pair players.

They are both in exceptional situations in college, Denver inflates scoring (see Rizzo, Brink, Devine), and Perreault is on a line with Leonard and Hagens.

Um, I never mentioned Perrault. Perhaps you should spend less time defending the indefensible and spend more time on reading comprehension.

Damn, the Eagles could have drafted Tom Brady!

Frost (may 14 1990) can still turn into a Tippet! (feb 16 1990)
How lucky are we?!
If only. Frost scoring 25+ goals a year would be a pretty good player.

And Bonk is what exactly? In which situation?

Ah. You're one of those guys. You must have loved the Risto trade then.

They looked a character and picked a bunch of selfish, composureless choke artists?

Hutson was definitely on the table in that range. It's who I wanted. Maybe not for the Flyers, they probably would have taken O'Reilly like EDM.

“Let’s see in three years” is the refuge for people without defensible opinions, yet who want to always be right. In three years, we’ll just get more evasive reasonings. We’ve done this “three years” shit with every obviously bad draft pick. Goes nowhere.

Perreault is on a line with Leonard and Hagens

Holy moly. You said three days ago that Hagens’ production was because of Perreault. Now, Perreault’s production is because of Hagens. At least give it three years before flip flopping.
