This is going to be a pretty interesting tournament. None of the weak teams were helpless and none of the good ones have dominated. Other than this obvious separation into two groups, hard to tell who is who any deeper than that.

Hungary, unless I'm missing something, just have nothing going for them. A competitive team that will be able to give a fight but really the only way they can win is by wanting it more and all those cliches.
Yesterday I was afraid I was missing something. Today, however, you can't fault their effort, they are trying but the class just isn't there. Maybe fatigue also is getting to their goalie who had an excellent game yesterday but I think it's not too harsh to say is a bit out of it today.

The game is basically over after the first period and France's top players didn't even have to do much of anything.

I am just tuning in. 4-2 now. Goalie out time late in the 3rd.

Empty netter - 5-2

nygarrd kid there for norway? he should dominaate if he is
It's not an easy situation to play in. Basically stepping out of the plane onto the ice, no practices, no chemistry (other than some possible carryover from previous tournaments back in the day), extremely heavy workload. You expect him to have an impact, especially in the critical games, but "domination" isn't really in the cards.

Texier, Bokk, Bjorkstrand, Protas, Rossi, Molgaard have all scored 5-8 points in the tournament before.

0 points against Slovenia in the first game as well.

Was it Nygard with that hit? That did look heavy.

Anyway, Norway really tilted the ice in the 2nd, interesting 3rd coming up.
