Gotta be honest, Dallas already scared me as a Western Conference opponent - but they don't scare me much more with Mikko Rantanen added

I think Mikko on Carolina is closer to his true form than Mikko on Colorado was, and we've still replaced him with a faster and harder working player, while Dallas is going to have to lose pieces to add him

As much as I hate the guy, you can’t underrate him. He’s absolutely better than what he showed in Carolina. I think he fits well with Hintz, or Johnston.

Dallas is great. Honestly, the West is stacked. Colorado will be a tough out too. Gonna be fun.

I agree, if he's going to continue coasting and putting in little to no effort I think it hurts the Stars more than it helps which is wonderful. There is however, always that chance he picks it up again or gains some motivation. Which scares me a bit if it happens in the playoffs vs the Avs as he might be looking for revenge for being traded.

$4M was the difference for Mikko. Absolute traitor.
If he had known that his options were to pick Colorado at 11.75 or Dallas at 12M, I can guarantee you he would've picked Colorado. But those were not the options back then.

Like I said, I think his agent wanted to hold out for even more, and eventually now Rantanen just called him and told him to quit f***ing around. He had already got traded out of Colorado, was out about to be traded out of Carolina, and the deal with the Stars was about to fall through because of his greedy agent. And he got tired of it.
