Because he, like many other players, probably put way too much trust and faith on his agent and eventually got tired of the BS. He already saw that stuff get him traded from Colorado, and now it would've prevented him from staying in Carolina or landing in Dallas? I bet he finally called his agent up and told him to sign the f***ing deal.

Hintz and Rantanen are even better buddies than Aho and Rantanen, so suits him. I can't believe I have to start rooting against my favourite player, but it is what it is. f*** the Stars, and f*** Rantanen.
