Meh, I think Carolina has picked the following plan:

Either try to trade Rantanen for a decent package. This would have to have Rantanen extended, because as a rental he's not worth as much. If that doesn't happen, they will just keep him, hope that he helps them in their run and try to have him re-signed by July 1st.

So I don't they move him just as a rental, they don't think they get enough in that package.
 
We need some more jam and chaos in the bottom six ever since Wood became useless. Give me Tanev he would look good on the third line. Offer them Oskar and a late pick and hope they bite.

Colton, Wood, and Mitts..


Wood may have negative value but the other two should bring back assets.

If they choose to move Manson it will be because they were able to replace him.

It will be an interesting offseason none the less.

Many players play for them long-term and some new teammate turns down an offer for 12-13mil a season. In others words Rantanen is saying: this place sucks and I want out of here.

It's tough to hear that or see.

Mikko was too good for Colorado too. It hurt us.
