Imagine a 3rd line of Landy-Drury-Coyle in the playoffs just shutting down the big boys.
They’d be a royal PITA to play against.

And ppl will wake up the next day posting about our 2c issues and hating our gm cause we have no assets to get one. This board is going to be a blast .After we won the Cup, we only had 2 draft picks, a 6th and 7th
This summer we will have 2 draft picks, a 4th and a 7th
Coincidence? Or grand design? We're winning this shit
I don't doubt Kyper here, because he was the first to break the eventual Rantanen signing as well. He has a source in the Rantanen camp. But what would've this meant for Mitch Marner? And what does his 12x8 deal in Dallas mean for Marner?
Canucks fans were confident he was awesome, though!Brannstrom is on his 5th team in 9 months
Sounds like he is coming back for the last Hurrah. Whatever that means we will see. What did I miss that now people start picturing Landy in the lineup again?
A lot of big shoes to fill, and goalies are the only ones I have faith in performing better than their counterparts in 2022. I guess Kiviranta can be better than NAK.Cup roster in 2022 vs roster in 2025

Good comparison and to me doesn’t feel that far off. Time will tell. We won’t get an easy first round this time.Cup roster in 2022 vs roster in 2025

C-Mac ain't done yet!
The deal they took from Dallas is better.
CMac was just on NHL network, he said everything is going well with Landy, although still no timeline. At this point they’re just screwing with us and playing with our emotions. I really wouldn’t be surprised if Landy came back in the playoffs. Specially seeing this new roster and EJ being back tooWhat did I miss that now people start picturing Landy in the lineup again?

But, I have to be consistent. I have called that Avs team the best team in the salary cap era. They had one of the most dominant cup runs in the cap era, with one of the worst cup winning goaltending since like 1991? It's a pretty f***ing high bar to clear. Cups have been won with worse teams.
I feel pretty good because of goaltending alone.
I do not agree that we got a top 4 Dman. Lindgren isn't that guy anymore. He's seems to be a better bottom pairing guy, but we did not get the D man we needed.
If Landy is done done, look for them to take a run at Ekblad July 1st.Forward depth is insane now.
Defensive depth leaves a lot to be desired.
You rate 5’8” Stankoven that much?

Goaltenders are on totally different level, especially compared to Kuemper playoff form. He was terrible. Absolutely awful.
That's massive edge there. Otherwise we are not as good obviously. But I think the goaltenders help a lot.

And like I said, we often end up in the same trap of comparing teams to that 2022 championship team. Which, like I said, is arguably the best and most dominant cup team in the cap era. I mean it's not actually arguable, if you look at stats and whatnot it's clear. And still had the worst goaltending for a cup winning team in like 30 years.Goaltenders are on totally different level, especially compared to Kuemper playoff form. He was terrible. Absolutely awful.

That 2022 team should've been like 30M over the cap, if everyone was paid what they deserved. Instead, we had guys like MacKinnon making 6M, Byram on ELC, Kadri making 4.5M etc...
Toews - Makar
Girard - Manson
Lindgren - EJ
(Malinski, Middleton, MacDonald)
is lack of depth?

Colton, Wood, Ryjo, Mitts + almost all the low end guys like CDH....the pro scouts post cup haven't been good. They can't even get credit for Drouin they have nothing to do with it.But seriously, what a huge miss on our offseason signings...as I said in another thread, some exceptionally worrying signs about our pro-scouting staff / evaluation system. These three misses; the mediocrity of Wood and Colton; the Mittelstadt disaster. It's not good. At least CMac has the gumption to not double down and stick with these messes, but it's costing us far too many assets.
No. So that's what I missed.Did you watch part 1 of the documentary?

He said he’s skating 3-4 times per week, feeling stronger, and feels like he’s close to returning.
1 part coming out each week.
