Why should hockey be different than any other business enterprise?Old boys club, jobs for your buddies

and even then you have another guy in Dragicevic who's better than Akey with a high risk reward style not invited lol.Beau Akey plays the same style of risk reward game you get from either of Parekh or Yakemchuk but he's not nearly as good offensively as either of them lol.
And you have Cam Allen who has previously gone to these tournaments and looked like shit.and even then you have another guy in Dragicevic who's better than Akey with a high risk reward style not invited lol.
Not even remotely close, lol. People are WAY to high on Parekh, and Yakechuk. You could arguably make a better Canada B team with snubbed players lol
What kind of witchcraft did you use to make that happen?come on camp invites already im tired of checking everyday i want t his process to offically begin already lol
They're better than the vast vast majority of defensemen invited to camp. Only Schaefer and Dickinson have arguments over them, and they're LHD lolNot even remotely close, lol. People are WAY to high on Parekh, and Yakechuk.
they are both better then several d man invited lol but allrightNot even remotely close, lol. People are WAY to high on Parekh, and Yakechuk.
No, they're not better defenders than anyone on the roster, lol. They can score though. They're better than the vast vast majority of defensemen invited to camp. Only Schaefer and Dickinson have arguments over them, and they're LHD lol

Can't wait to stay at home yes man our way to another quarter finals loss. Maybe we can even get Joe Hicketts on loan from LA.I called that they would pontetially ignore Parekh, Hockey Canada HATE cocky guys, they prefer the stay at home, yes man every time!
Also Ivanovic over Ravensbergen and no DuPont is a choice. The usual idiotic decisions by HC. Not even inviting Yakemchuk, Iginla, Parehk or Sennecke should get people fired. If they have a bad camp and get cut fine but not even an invite(also that small of a camp roster) is beyond stupid. There's other guys who also should've had invites over some of these picks but those 4 along with no Misa isn't a justifiable thing
The gap between their offense and the guys taken over them is far bigger than the gap defensively. Pair them with responsible LHD and reap the rewards. No, they're not better defenders than anyone on the roster, lol. They can score though.
I actually think every nation has enough of an old boys grit and toughness and intangibles network to do so, but Canada is usually the only nation with the talent for it.As I mentioned a few posts back, we are the only hockey nation stupid enough to not even invite 4 of top 9 picks in the 2024 draft, and a potential number 1-3 pick in the 2025 draft, to attend it's training camp.
I don't give a damn about age, inviting Howe, Pinelli and Allen over so many guys is completely asinine. I don't care if they win the tournament, this decision making is inexcusable.
Yakemchuk maybe, but he can't hold Parekh's jock.Bonk is a better player for this tournament than either of them
I don't agree at all, their offense is completely unnecessary, they're both puck-dominant dmen that would barely have the puck at this tournament. Dickinson and Molendyk will drive the offense from the back end.The gap between their offense and the guys taken over them is far bigger than the gap defensively. Pair them with responsible LHD and reap the rewards.
This is the same thinking that got Makar played as a 7th D in 2018 despite being over a PPG and by far our best player.

One can question some of the selections and omissions but HC’s decision to not select Parekh shows at least some level of insight. Opposing teams at the WJC would have gone around and through Parekh like sh*t through a goose.Akey, Brunicke, Gibson, Allen, and Mynio over Parekh and Yakemchuk is nasty work.
HC never fails to amuse that's for sure.
