Marino or Fabbro wouldve been nice. Obviously, Marino hold more value (and should've been targeted heavily when made available), but even adding Fabbro would allow Ruff to break up what really doesn't work, which is pairing Joki with Power. If that doesn't work, you atleast get a possibly better option on the 3rd pair than Bryson. We just cant count on Sammy being what he was or even healthy for that matter. Once he sucked and went down again, Adams shouldve been all over a Fabbro like addition.

I think there were different potential options over the years, but Adams kept riding the Jokiharju train (which by the way also suffered injuries at one time). It also seems Adams probably didn't even know that it was important for Ruff to have a defenseman playing on his side. Marino was traded twice, Kovacevic was sold for a fourth, Fabbro was available for literally nothing, Jensen was traded in the summer. This is just the first thing that came to mind, if you dig you can find more options.
