Yep. Drafting top 3 would probably have an as big impact as drafting Demidov last summer.
yepThe cherry on the sundae would be CGY's pick being in the 11-16 range. Imagine leaving the draft with one of Schaefer/Martone plus a guy like Desnoyers.
Meh, if we're picking top 10, there are better options. Could be interesting with the other 1st rounder though, depending on where it goes.No love for Ivan Ryabkin
I'm not so sure about Hage playing in the top 6 (yet). If Demidov can be traded to another KHL. I would have loved to see him play at center. His play making skill is insanely high.Demidov-Hage-Martone
Boom.
Not the way he’s currently trending. You need to pick players that are showing consistent development. No love for Ivan Ryabkin

Dach-Demidov-Martone combo will be better.
With a little luck Calgarys pick will be in that 11-15 rangeI was really hoping they would be in the 10-15 range next summer but it seems ill be paying more attention to the top 5ish guys....
Martone/Misa would be the dream but we'd need to win the lottery for that.
You guys think Schaefer is the best dman drafted top 10 in the past few drafts?
Avoiding to get jumped is what I meant. In our current spot, we can fall to 5 meaning we'd miss on all 4 of those guys. We'd need a bottom 2 finish to guarantee them. Still a lot of hockey left and I have a hard time seeing Nashville be this bad all year.Wouldn't need the lottery for Misa.. just would have to be where we are right now without getting jumped.
Schaefer also could be taken ahead of Misa,
Top 4 should be some order of Hagens/Martone/Schaefer/Misa
Having Hagens and Caufield in the top 6 could also be bad for us in the playoff. This is probably the only year i would prefer finishing second or third and drafting Martone or Misa.If Habs win the 1st overall, I would hesitate between Hagens and Martone, but Hagens is really really fun to watch.
Hagens and Demidov would be a very dynamic duo.
In my book, he's easily the best draft eligible dman of the 2020s so far (until DuPont comes into play in 2027). But I'm also probably his biggest fan around here...You guys think Schaefer is the best dman drafted top 10 in the past few drafts?
He'd have to be up there, his ceiling is about as high as it goes. Super young too, so in a lot of ways he's still only scratching the surface. I like him more than Levshunov and Nemec, at the very least. Jiricek and Reinbacher will need to be healthy to get a true read on, but he has more tools than they do.You guys think Schaefer is the best dman drafted top 10 in the past few drafts?
I'd love either, but I'd probably lean Hagens and look to supplement our lack of grit with a trade. If Habs win the 1st overall, I would hesitate between Hagens and Martone, but Hagens is really really fun to watch.
