I would also be ok with Guhle playing on the right side but on a 2nd pair, which imply we would hope for Reinbacher to take the top pair role.

But a top 4 of :

Schaefer-Reinbacher
Hutson-Guhle

Would be insane imo. Extreme mobility and offensive threat from the backend.
I will put Schaefer with Guhle. He has the most experience playing at defense for us. Drafting Schaefer will give us a very young Defense core.

I think the only teams that really are a given bottom are Chicago and SJ as they just starting their rebuild.

Preds won't be down there at the end of the season. Just impossible.

We are in that tier of teams like Columbus, Ottawa, Anaheim, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Buffalo.

IMO, we can finish anywhere from 3OA to 10OA.
Nashville has the lowest wins in regular time with only 7....Chicago has 9 wins.

Very top heavy, not seeing many interesting later first candidates.
It's still early, but I'd agree so far. My tier 3 and Tier 4 are virtually non-existent compared to last year.

Damico is on Laraque Gonzalez right now. His top-5 is :

Schaefer
Martone
Hagens
Misa
Eklund

Says he's not as high on Hagens because he has doubts about his goal-scoring ability. Seems like a clueless take seeing that Hagens scored 9 in 7 games at the U18.
His opinion is as good as your or mine since he's just an internet "journalist" or blogger.

I think our first round will be Eklund and Fiddler.

A lot of time left but as of right now I’d be kinda disappointed. If we’re not gonna draft top 4 I’d like for us to walk away with one of Desnoyers or Bear, and if we’re gonna go winger I’d prefer Spence and Lakovic over Eklund.

Fiddler I don’t mind with the Flames pick.

Fwiw, Schaefer was a neat n’ tidy +3 in the 5-4 win at Brampton, in addition to two assists.

Kid gets it done, all over the ice. Plus 21 on the season.

If Habs get a chance to get him, he’s the guy to get this year.
He is only 17 years old. Almost one year younger then Hagens and Martone.

Dvorsky's skating was what prevented him to be successful this year in a men league, his skating was pro level slightly below avarage and thats what he will need to keep working on the most. That being said, his skating isnt a weakness compared to most top prospects and I dont see it as an issue going foward.

I would love Eklund if we’re out the top 5, I really like the player, but I doubt the habs would draft a smallish winger.
I do think we will be out of the top 5 and I think he plays a style of game that would fit with how MSL wants to play.

Can't wait for WJC to commence, I haven't been able to get the viewings I've desired out of some of the Euros. Shame Frondell isn't going to WJC (as far as I can tell).

For now, my preferences for the top 10:

1. Schaefer
2. Hagens
3. Martone
4. Misa

It's close as I don't think any of them are surefire franchise guys, but Schaefer is the one that gives me the most pause due to his age. Misa is the most maddening to evaluate, as I've had him as high as 2 and even thought he could be one, but I keep expecting more. Martone is my favorite to watch when he's on, but I found a couple of games in November were pretty poor.

5. Smith
6. Bear
7. Schmidt
8. Spence
9. Lakovic
10. Kindel

Kindel is someone I came away liking at the CHL-USNTDP games, and he impressed again in the game against the Oil Kings shortly after. Goes without saying, the WHL is well represented in this tier, with Smith being the guy I feel has good upside while having the frame and abilities coaches love.

HMs: Desnoyers, Reid, O'Brien

Still need to watch (or watch more of):
Frondell
Martin
Charbonneau
Eklund
Most Euros Quite Frankly
Most College Players (Hensler, Potter)
