Looks like the Finn's beat the living shit out of us in exhibition tonight. 4-0 and shots were around 37 to 17.

What a bunch of pricks. Ruin the Hlinka. every other year Ruin this one now. It is almost as if Hockey Canada wants to host events in empty stadiums and with no access to watch the matches.

yea 17 dollar is insane for a game, and i know i should not buy but it is what is it. Atleast we should find the semi and gold medal games on stream sites for free

Would totally suck, but Berchild might be injured. Weirdly wasn't listed in the lineup or as a scratch for the exhibition game. Either the person who makes the graphics made a mistake or he's injured (or otherwise unavailable). He's missed a few recent games.

It costs alot of $$ to put an event on - ofcourse they're going to charge for tickets. I would hope $20 was the prime seats though.

20 is the cheap seats. $30 for premium. Before fees and taxes. I'll be in shock if I found out these areans are sold out for these games.
What I do think is the stream should be free like it is for every other smaller international tournament so people can watch this. It is $17 to watch this Canada vs Czech White game... $17!!!! For one game 2 hour game. A monthly subscription to sportsnet premium is $21 and that is 90% of all NHL games for a month. And a tonne of other sports. Or a TSN monthly pass in mid December is around $20 as well.. that gets you the enitre World Jrs.
it's ridiculous. When these events are in Europe there is always a free stream.

Tried to find a stream for Czechia Canada game but couldnt find despite looking at multiple different sites lol. So paying is the only way unfortunely. I was thinking about doing it but nah, too much and if you want to download the game is 26 dollar. I dont blame anyone doing it tho, each to their own but if no one do it maybe they will stop charge for it in future tourneys. I dunno

Not sure about Sweden but czechia got smoked twice so far. Once in exhibition to Finn's and then Canada yesterday. I really like this age group but we don't seem to be deep enough to overcome missing 2 of our 3 top forwards. Not an excuse as everyone is missing someone.. more a frustration that we can't overcome that.

As Czechboy wrote, this group of forwards is not very deep and we cannot replace the absence of two forwards who formed the dominant attack last year. And the results so far match it. I'd love to be wrong, but I don't expect us to win a single game in this tournament.
And I won't watch either, they're thieves. 17 dollars per match and 100 for the whole tournament? They are joking.
Really happy Hockey Canada was generous enough to have this european matchup played in EU-friendly time, pretty sure all the Czech and Swedish fans are having a blast right now.

3-2 Czechia after two periods. To be honest, should probably be 7-0 Sweden, seeing as how they have dominated. Swedish goalie has been extremely mediocre with terrible rebound control.
For Sweden Viggo Björck has been very good, as expected. Hit the crossbar once, two assists so far and delivering top notch passes consistently. And extremely difficult to grab hold of along the boards, despite not being the largest of players.
Malte Gustafsson at D has taken pretty big steps this season. Plays with authority. Bosse Meijer had a great first period, more quiet in the second. Lots of skill among the Swedish forwards, but they need to bury their chances. Oscar Holmertz, Elton Hermansson, Marcus Nordmark and Simon Näslund all showing flashes of what they can do.
Czech goalie has been very good so far and Simon Katolicky is dangerous when given some space.

Czechs are lucky the Swedes don't have more high-end skill. Should be more lopsided than it is.
