If Caleb Williams is on the board I change my vote lol prissy boy or not.

Tho I think the Bears are trying to up Fields trade value.

I suggested a shot at McCarthy only because I’ve become disenchanted with both Maye and Daniels and think MHJ has HOF talent.

With Daniels we’re talking about a guy who has already had major surgery, is 20lbs lighter than Lamar Jackson and is a 5th year player. He might be great but he won’t be on the field often enough to be the franchise.

At least Maye is young and still has some untapped potential.

Yeah. I can see this as well.

I’m definitely “ok” with an Alt/Fashanu/MHJr at the top of the draft (hopefully they can move to 5-7iah and take what’s left), and then take McCarthy or Penix or Nix (or even Travis or Rattler or…..) on day 2.

They have a lot of options. This is seen as a “mega” talented draft. Top notch. So trade down her where you can and accrue assets for later on In This Draft, if you can.

Or top picks next year.

So many options

This draft is so interesting so many permutations that I'm OK with. Don't get me I would take Caleb if he was there. Drafting MHJ then a QB in the 2nd would not have a problem. Trading farther down and drafting Alt/Fash with a QB in the 2nd.

Was listening to the Nagy guy on the senior bowl was interesting that it looks like the draft quality 5-7 drops of a cliff due to a few reasons. Mostly the SB organizers fault on the invites.

Help me understand that 2nd to last sentence. You mean rounds 5-7? Draft quality drops?

I’d heard otherwise, which is why I’m asking 🫣

Basically how it was explained was that they Senior Bowl people hold back some invitations after the initial go out because since juniors could be invited this years (versus previous years where all the invites went to seniors only and all at the same time) so it sounds like some senior panicked and because of the portal rules ended up going back to school or signed NIL deals to stay another year.

Below should be queued up at the point where this was explained but if not go to 14:00-16:30. Pretty good vid to watch all of what Nagy had to say about Nic/Penix/Rattler/Milton/the tulane guy who apparently has a beastly arm.

Thanks. So his summary is that the draft rounds 5-7 are weak because players in that range decided to go back to school, transfer, and sign NIL deals. But the top of the draft is well stocked.

I can't find any record of Daniels having major surgery. Did you mean Penix? He's had two ACL surgeries.

Anyone who doesn't want to be inundated 24/7 with "ZOMG TAYLOR SWIFT SPOTTED DOING LAUNDRY AT TEH SUPER BOWL" hype for the next 2 weeks should be rooting for the Ravens.

So, Ben Johnson... seems pretty clear he's the guy they want, but he's also rumored to want a big contract. I get that they can't interview him until after these games, but it feels like he's holding out to see how far his offense can go. As in, he'll command a lot more money if his offense leads the Lions to the Super Bowl, even more so a SB win. Interesting dynmaic... the better he does, the more we want him, and the more he'll cost. I guess who cares, its not our money, right?

Yeah, Daniel's has had no major injury issues or concerns throughout his career. I gat concern over potential for injury based on his frame, but he is not bionic to date.

I'm not worried about anything around BJ. We can't do anything more with him than we have done to date, so the mind tends to fill in gaps with worries/guesses/things that could go wrong, but the reality is he's the hottest offensive coordinator in the sport who's poised to take the next step, but can't get deeply engaged or make any other commitments until his current team is no longer actively playing for the championship.

It would be a little more of a concern if there were still a lot of open jobs.

Welp, there aren’t. And Seattle may tag Quinn shortly, leaving just the Skins.

So Johnson would truly have to be willing to be an OC for another year. There’s a lot of risk to that, not only in income, but also in stature.

Right now? His star can only dim. It ain’t getting any brighter as an HC candidate, then it is currently….so. He doesn’t have THAT much leverage here. Regardless of if/when they lose.

Bad decision imo but should've been DPI. Likely was hit from behind while standing in position to fight for where the ball was coming in.
As the retired ref explained, WR was out of the play, behind the play on the ball…don’t know if that’s the right interpretation…
