This is a trial. It's entirely possible that they green light it for this year (i believe Pitchcom was a quick turnaround)Why can't we have ABS this year in the regular season? Come on, man

Meh. Umping issues aren't as bad as fans make them out to be, the biggest problem is the superimposed box (which doesn't adjust for each hitter) on on our screens combined with camera angles... the same pitch in both SkyDome and Globe Life (Texas) will look like a completely different location because the angles are different. Pitches to the first base side in Toronto will look worse than actually are because of teh angleWhy can't we have ABS this year in the regular season? Come on, man
No timeline yet, but reading about other pitchers who recently had a torn meniscus, the timeline seems to be around 6-8 weeks. That wouldn't be too bad.Macko had meniscus surgery. Possibly out for the year.
6-8 is when he would be able to start throwing. Would then take 2+ months normally to build from soft toss to pitching. No timeline yet, but reading about other pitchers who recently had a torn meniscus, the timeline seems to be around 6-8 weeks. That wouldn't be too bad.
Hopefully he can come back and put together a solid performance with Buffalo. He could have a chance to come up and contribute either as a depth starter or out of the pen, especially with no established lefty reliever.
Orelvis with big oppo power... nice!

Gameday shows Barger leaving the game, so that's super great. So much for this game being on TV... seems like there was some miscommunication between SN and NESN since NESN isn't airing the game per their website.
Although it says it's coming on SN1 programming alert still but teh game has already started.

Jimenez strikes out to start, followed by Barger HBP and an Orelvis walk.
Hopefully it's just precautionary, no reason to play through anything in teh springGameday shows Barger leaving the game, so that's super great.

He wasn't locating well, but adding a couple MPH this early in the spring is really interesting.Game is on SN1 now...
Bloss is throwing hard, 97-98
Last year he averaged 93.6 and he only threw one pitch over 95
Could be a hot stadium gun? Or a short outing velo bump.Game is on SN1 now...
