Someone is giving it to Austin Adams... can't tell if it's the Jays dugout or a disgruntled fan.
I’m sure fanSomeone is giving it to Austin Adams... can't tell if it's the Jays dugout or a disgruntled fan.
Good so far
It is a pure hodgepodge of players..
Those were all normal Vladdy swings.Vladdy upset with himself because he was trying to hit a grand slam. lol
The part about drinking Saturday night was certainly a fan.. and he's probably right.I’m sure fan
Yeah Varsho is a boss on the bases. and he has hit better than last year so far. he's had some clutch hits and scored some clutch runs with his base running.Varsho is one of the best baseball players on the planet. I know his offensive numbers are not jumping off the page at you, but it's everything else. Such a smart smart player. He knows how to play the game. There are guys who are superstars offensively, but are clueless in a lot of other aspects of the game. Guys like Varsho don't get recognized as much as they should. Because an offensive superstar, but who has an average or below average IQ get hyped a lot. But the things Varsho does, don't get hyped enough just because he is relatively pedestrian with the bat.
Give him the damn Platinum Glove. Dude is a superstar in the outfield.Yeah Varsho is a boss on the bases. and he has hit better than last year so far. he's had some clutch hits and scored some clutch runs with his base running.
And the outfield defense is top notch. its unfortunate hes getting bounced around in all the positions so he likely wont win a gold glove.
Yeah, Varsho's struggle last year and the success of Moreno & Gurriel in Arizona really amplified the unfair hate on him. Maybe this year he just realized it wasnt his fault and he could be the player he can be.IKF quietly showing he’s quite the smart hitter. Varsho does so many things well…bunt, steals, defence. Both these guys have a high baseball IQ.

I still think they traded the wrong catcher, but I doubt Arizona would have done the same for Kirk & Gurriel. Moreno was the key.
As for IKF, he's been more than adequate Chapman replacement at 3rd and also other positions he can play. Hitting wise they are very similar this season, with IKF making a lot less.
In terms of what the Jays gave up in the deal, I think next year is when we'll find out if Moreno is worth being upset about, assuming Jansen doesn't come back. Last year and this year, Moreno would be a marginal upgrade on Kirk as the backup/part-time catcher. Meh... not much lost there either way. But if Jansen leaves, Kirk can't handle the workload, and Moreno figures it out, it would look bad at that point. So far, though, it doesn't look like a loss for the Jays at all.Yeah, Varsho's struggle last year and the success of Moreno & Gurriel in Arizona really amplified the unfair hate on him. Moreno can actually run, and isnt an instant out on the bases. He's still young where he can develop better. Kirk is what he is now, and will get worse as his body breaks down because of his weight. In terms of what the Jays gave up in the deal, I think next year is when we'll find out if Moreno is worth being upset about, assuming Jansen doesn't come back. If I have to pick between the two it's Moreno. However, Kirk has done slightly better than Gabby this year. Just because someone is younger, doesn't mean they will develop better. Some guys peak and crash and some guys it takes a few years to figure it out.Moreno can actually run, and isnt an instant out on the bases. He's still young where he can develop better. I just don't see Kirk being healthy long term in his career. IMO he'll always be be a backup catcher at best.If I have to pick between the two it's Moreno. Moreno is a flashier guy while Kirk isn't, but Kirk has had better results.
