Yeah, a series loss would be super disappointing. I just think "Oakland sucks so the Jays have to sweep them" is a bit much.

Ok maybe "must" was the wrong word. What I mean is that a series win you only get to within a game of .500. If they sweep, they go a game over. It's a big deal. It gets late early, as Yogi Bera once said. They have to start making some hay now. The runway is slowly getting shorter. You have to capitalize on these teams.
 
Yeah i had a feeling that was coming for Manoah. one article says its either TJ or some repair with a brace.

Yeah, it depends on how damaged the ligament is. If it's fully torn he gets TJ. If not they try to brace it for it to heal on its own and remain stable.
 
Obligatory "John Fisher can rot in hell" post. What he's doing to the A's is shameful. Yeah they obviously can't keep playing in the dump of a stadium they're in now, but he clearly never intended to act in good faith with the city of Oakland unless they were willing to pay for his whole new stadium for him, the cheap bastard. And this Plan B of playing in Sacramento for possibly 3 years waiting out the hope that they sort things out in Vegas is hilariously stupid.
 
Blow it up. This team is embarrassing. Bring in all new personnel. Spent all this money to upgrade the stadium only to have fans watch a AA team out there. Keep Berrios and Jansen I guess. Gotta keep some pieces. Everyone else can kick rocks. Start over.
