It’s part of the reason he didn’t do nearly as well in the post season last year as well when he had some elite junior defensive players to cover him.

Very similar to another undersized Q player who put up eye popping numbers in junior but was also shutdown come the post season in Conor Garland. He then went on to be terrible his first year in the AHL until he reinvented his game to be a pest and really dig for pucks around the net which opened up more of his game. Hopefully Dumais takes notes.

Not comparable. Garland was a much better skater and fearless driving the net. Dumais is hands vision and shot

The team is still really good on paper. On any given day they could beat anyone.
You put the loss behind you, make adjustments and play again.

They’re missing players for sure, but not in the same realm of what’s missing from Canada.

Bedard this season would be absolutely unfair to the opposition… and then imagine if he somehow came back at 19 too 🤯

He is now.

Garland in the Q was elusive but not very fast in straight away speed and didn’t know what driving to the net even meant when he played for Moncton.

Rehkopf is a better player at 18 than some of his teammates on this team. Top point getter in the CHL and yet he sits an watches. Letang should read and take heed of Einstein's definition of insanity. When you stand behind the bench with blinders on and the same players are going out making the same mistakes and getting banged around try another avenue. Change the damn paradigm.

It's still the Round Robin. Let them tinker.

Years ago, Babcock did the same at the Olympics(?) and posters were having a fit. He finally got it right when the games mattered.

If Savoie doesn't lose the puck on the breakaway or we hit the net with our shots, it's a different game.

P.S. I agree, TC needs to drive the net more and be more physical - especially against the U.S.

To me I would rather see them tinker by giving a guy like Rehkopf a chance. Minten and Dumais have shown they don't have it offensively but they still get force fed good minutes linemates.

That is frustrating to me that the same guys get chances despite showing they aren't good fits in those spots.

Sports Interaction is giving Slovakia even LESS of a chance.
Bodog has Slovakia at +550.

Might be worth throwing $100 down on Slovakia because those odds are crazy.

When I made this post, I thought I'd get a TON of feedback.

The Swiss are beating Norway. If they beat Czechia, tomorrow, we will face the Swiss in the Quarters. I can live with that.
