Ah shit, seriously? Man...........that's brutal.oh those were probably 2 of our top 4 D eh?
Nice to see a Battalion make it but that's a pretty big blow.
Oh well, gotta find a way somehow, guys need to step up.

Considering he had just travelled across the world and likely had to connect in Frankfurt and play with no sleep I thought Donovan did his job todayTy Nelson and Donovan are solid but Luneau and Molendyk will be greatly missed.
It is what it is.Ty Nelson and Donovan are solid but Luneau and Molendyk will be greatly missed.
To your credit, D, you've always said this team was VERY good from top to bottom. Well done!Losing Luneau and Molendyk sucks. This really is a B team among those eligible.

People snoozing on Ty Nelson, he can qb a power play no problem. He should have no problem slotting in the top two defence pairings.
I just finished with a strand of Swine flu, H1N1, it's pretty brutal. It must be serious because the Round Robin doesn't matter (much) and, if he just had the flu, he would recover before the playoffs.
Hope you feel better, SOLR.I just finished with a strand of Swine flu, H1N1, it's pretty brutal.
Yeah, I'm back on my feet now, but it took 14 days - I usually kill those flus in 3-5 days. This is the bug from 2009 (my 2nd go with it). I think that's what Luneau has; it's all over Canada right now, emergencies are full.Hope you feel better, SOLR.
Yikes! A few friends got Covid. Hopefully everyone has a Merry/healthy Christmas.Yeah, I'm back on my feet now, but it took 14 days - I usually kill those flus in 3-5 days. Thanks!
That’s an excellent point. Hadn’t thought of that. Thx
I can't imagine a scenario where Canada and Sweden do not meet in the semis.
The U.S. will win their pool 4-0 and have a HUGE Goal Diff. Canada and Sweden will end up 2 and 3 (or 3 and 2) once the teams are re-seeded in the semis.
Unless the U.S. falters and wins a game in O.T., they will win every RR game by a large margin and no team in Canada's pool will be able to keep up. It is what it is.That’s an excellent point. Hadn’t thought of that. Thx
That’s certainly the most likely scenario. But…..something always happens. This year I’m guessing that the surprise comes from the Czechs….either against US in RR or ruining somebody’s quarter.Unless the U.S. falters and wins a game in O.T., they will win every RR game by a large margin and no team in Canada's pool will be able to keep up. It is what it is.
So, my guess, the semis look like this :
Canada vs Sweden
U.S. vs Finland
Of course, if Canada, Sweden or Finland falter in the RR, the U.S. could face them in the Quarterfinals.
Having said that, between Canada losing players and the easy schedule, the hockey gods have laid out a clear runway for the U.S. to the GMG - my apologies for underestimating Finland.
What does the team he's drafted by have do with his leadership qualities?a leaf prospect as our leader dear god .
Why?Disappointing to see Minten as the captain but hopefully the team can overcome it. There should be enough leadership from the others tgat he doesn’t matter.
