Agreed. I still don't get the hype around Bennett. He'd be in the box or suspended all the time if he played for Toronto. Even assuming he cleaned up his act, that takes away the only thing that stands out about him (injuring opponents intentionally) and then you have a 7-8 million dollar who tops out at < 50 points as a player.

We saw it with Kadri, we saw it Bunting, we saw it with Spezza, We saw it with Reaves, we saw with other guys. You can’t play with that edge here, the moment you try it’s a suspension. Any advantage you think you’re getting with Bennett is going to be neutralized. Yeah so for the purpose of this team and tournament he doesn't feel Mitch is a complete enough player to be in the top 6. He said he needed worker bees to help complete his game. They served the purpose we all saw and he like what he sees from that line. I imagine that means we will see it again Thursday.

Mitch did play less - not quite 50% as you are claiming. All the lines played less though on the third line Marner played around 4 minutes less than McDavid which is significant. As for my expectations of what Cooper would or should say is that I expect him to be honest though I am not naive enough to think everyone is honest all the time. I certainly don't expect him to give me your biased opinion though. lol.

I think Marner is devaluing himself at this tournament. Cut ice time means a Stanley Cup champ coach who has coached against him doesn't see him as a go to guy. He is a reg. season phenom who becomes less in the tougher games. I have no problem walking away if they fizzle in the playoffs again. Who cares about all these people who accept losing?
