Probably that he's not just one of their 12 best but probably one of their 6 best forwards when he's been healthy.

He's 18.... They can let him play ONE time. Why is it only Canada that gets picked dry?

If an 18 year old that isn't a Crosby, McDavid or Bedard caliber of player is TOP 6 F on an NHL roster, that only says to me what a piss poor job management/coaching staff has done in constructing that team.

Just brutal.

These guys don't watch goalies or pay attention to them. DiVincentiis played one game coming back from injury and hasn't even been the back-up since. He's not good enough of a goalie to be worth giving a spot on the roster without proving he's earned the shot and at this point he hasn't earned it. I wouldn't object to Mathis Rousseau being at training camp as he's having a fantastic year, I just have quite a few questions about his ability to translate his game to the WJC's.

It’s Pronman and Wheeler the two biggest hacks when it comes to prospects .

They are horrendous

Agree. If your NHL team depends on an 18 year old player not named Crosby, McDavid or Bedard, you should be working at 7-11.

Unless the player doesn't want to go, send him.
Heck, even if the player doesn't want to go, send him.

Playing at the WJR's benefits the kid - and no one will convince me otherwise.

Looks like last year's camp roster was named Dec. 9. Assuming perhaps they might announce a little earlier given that there is international travel involved, the actual camp roster will be out within the next few days? [Scrambles over to hockeycanada.ca to make sure he's not made a fool of by the early release of the camp roster. No! We're good. Hits "Post Reply" with the hope it doesn't change in the next few minutes.]

Nick Lardis may be a guy quietly knocking on the door. Has been one of the hottest goal scorers in the OHL over the month of November after a bad start.... He's also one of the league's best skaters. Haven't seen his name but I think he's worth a mention

CANADA always has more key losses at this tournament then anyone else but this year looks to be especially harsh and it is a tough year to have that happen, gonna have to find a way to make it work somehow.

The players probably not coming: Korchinski, Benson, and Poitras

Everyone else is almost certainly available. Not really that bad, to be honest, considering we already knew that the big 3 wouldn't be going. Sucks to lose Benson/KK, but there's still a chance that one, or both, end up going.
