Throw in Rempe?I'd do Kakko, Othmann, 1st+ for Buch at 50%
Nothing. Just the board trying to will it into existence. Even @will1066 is on board.Where are the Tuch rumors coming from? Anything legit?
Dude if they don’t win this year it’s pretty much guaranteed some of these players will be moved for different players and picks
It’ll be fine
The Rangers have traded so many picks for nothing to show for them. Other teams trade picks for players who are part of the team for the next 2-3-4-5 years. I have no problem trading picks for actual players who will be here. You can't have a team made up of just picks. How many trades has he had?
It’s all rental deals and I guess if you don’t win the cup it’s a bad deal ?
Sure Buch deal was bad. We all have no idea why they didn’t get a 1st
I wanted Tuch when he was a Minnesota prospect. He’d be great but don’t see them moving him anytime soon.
way to cherry pick a few late round steals. Its very lucky and rarely happens. Thats not the point though. The window to a win cup is closing, so you need to go for it (with calculated asset management). holding onto a 2024 late second rounder and playing an AHLer at 3C when your window is open is moronic.Buchnevich was a 3rd round pick. Fox was a 3rd round pick. Igor was a 4th round pick. Cuylle was a 2nd round pick.
Draft picks are valuable. Throwing picks away is a big problem. Did you watch the mid 90s to early 00s Rangers. Throwing picks away thinking every garbage heap player they traded for was the one to put them over.
Teams are built. Not bought. A concept the Rangers can't wrap their heads around ever.
Did Copp, Vatrano, Tarasenko, Kane work? No. How many picks were wasted?
The Rangers don't have a 3rd line center because they throw picks down the toilet and can't develop one themselves. They should have had one waiting for the opportunity to step in after Chytil got hurt. They had absolutely nothing in the system because they throw picks away.
Then people talk about getting Guentzel, they just wasted a 2nd round pick. Now they have to use some other form of collateral.
Grab Duclair, put in a waiver claim for Moverare as a 7D. Done.Just do a low risk move at this point, grab Duclair, keep our players.
Who f***in’ knows what the Sabres will do. They gave a defenseman $8M while he was still a fetus.I do agree that the odds of Buffalo moving Tuch are likely slim, but who would have thought they would have dealt Mittelstadt today?
That was kinda predictable to anyone really paying attention. They already paid Tage & Cozens.I do agree that the odds of Buffalo moving Tuch are likely slim, but who would have thought they would have dealt Mittelstadt today?
How is Hayes a fit?I'm gonna drop this theory on the minimal chance I'm right.
The things linking the rangers to Buch, its not Buch, its a double retained Hayes.
He'd fix our center depth, he can play wing, and he's locked for the next year.
Vesey is here and we know they're close.
I think he's the better fit, and makes sense why we've been in talks with the blues, especially with Drury bargain hunting.
This exactly. The Rangers have traded so many picks for nothing to show for them. Other teams trade picks for players who are part of the team for the next 2-3-4-5 years. I have no problem trading picks for actual players who will be here. You can't have a team made up of just picks.
Ducks don't have any retention slots leftFor the sake of reasoning, lets assume the following:
- Twin Towers go back down to Hartford for remainder of regular season (pending emergency injury callups) and can return for POs as Black Aces
- Zach Jones is dealt
Rangers then have $5,250,084 in total cap space (LTIR) to use to acquire a depth D and a RW. Who do we acquire, what does it cost and how do we squeeze this in?
I would think Vatrano for a 1st with something small retained and a cheap big D is the path that Drury is on.
There was definitely smoke around Mittelstadt that hasn’t been for Tuch other than yesterdayI do agree that the odds of Buffalo moving Tuch are likely slim, but who would have thought they would have dealt Mittelstadt today?
