Has anyone watched patches the past 12 or so games? He’s looking more and more comfortable and showing up on the score sheet. He’s a great low cost add and a play off performer

He has played 12 seasons and only 359 games which comes out to about 30 games a season. Pens defense isn't exactly great that he is just a fill in for them. He can defend that minus 7 sure shows it.

Plus minus really? Look at the guys underlying numbers. He defends well.

For everyone saying Pacioretty is just a Wheeler replacement, correct. Wheeler was actually producing on Mika and Kreider's wing.

So far we've added two strong analytics guys at 5v5 who didn't cost much.

Patches is probably replacement level at this point but there's talent to be had if he's healthy.

If that's the deadline, that's cool. The team is objectively better and we didn't break the bank.
