Pacioretty is still good and won't cost a lot. You need to factor in the value for what he'll bring at what price. He has a NMC and controls where he wants to go. WSH isn't going to just let him walk when they can get an asset. It's better to at least get something for him, and it'll still leave room for another depth piece

Looking at the glass half full with Pacioretty: even after serious injuries he is on pace for 45-50 points on an average/below average team playing 14 mins a night.

No but it helps to have actual nhl talent and scorers on the 2nd unit bc there is no1 to fear on pp2

But he can't create his own scoring chances at this point. Unless there is a pp2 QB to run it that unit will continue to suck
