random thing i brought up on the blues board was:

hayes and a late pick for goodrow and robertson.

goodrow in it to avoid retention issues and blue's fans seem to want a vet center to plug in to insulate younger players.

i think this helps nyr and then they get a cheaper 4c option

this is not something i have heard, it is just something i thought of. hayes fills a bigger need than goodrow at this point.

You don’t think he got any better playing with Crosby? His PPG numbers aren’t substantially different from when he plays with Crosby VS not. Still well over a PPG player.

If you're asking whether he improved as a player from the beginning of his pro career?...well yes, of course. A couple of things though---eventually improvement for any player stalls and sometimes afterwards declines. But also any forward is almost always a product of those he plays with and if he came to the Rangers that would most likely be Mika and Kreider (both of whom are very good players but neither on a level with Crosby even now)....as well sometimes chemistry with new players comes seamlessly or over a short period of time and sometimes not so much.

Yup. Add Jenner to the list of players that would be worth a 1st. He slots in perfectly from a roster building standpoint and the contract is incredible.
