Because him and Kreider can only seem to create rush chances, and Mika refuses to shoot most of the time. They're not changing the roster for PP1, so 5v5 is all that actually matters. People rightly shit on Duclair for playing no D, but I think he's a dollar-store option that might actually work on that line.
Not disagreeing. The theme I see with JD is trusting his guys TOO much and not keeping the proper oversite. It is fine (and proper) to trust your staff/hires, but you still need to be on the pulse and on top of things. I think his health is further gone than most people think, and that has caused him to be more absent. He is in these roles these days because he is SO good dealing with the media, but that is the fault of ownership to not recognize the lack of oversite.
you could trade otter, jones and a 1st and prob get that to be sold. depending how you view otter it is something to consider.
