No one is going to go out of their way to sign up for $300 million worth of soon-to-be DH Raffy Devers. They overpaid him.

I was mad when he was complaining while being among the least clutch hitters in baseball

I think Devers should work on his defense but him + Kenley voicing their concerns is reasonable, this probably isn’t what they were told when they signed their contracts. I’d imagine they expected them to actually try and improve to become contenders once again. Instead we got budget cuts.

Devers is bang on but he didn’t exactly help the cause grading out as the second worse defensive infielder in baseball

He needs to be average in the field

Move him over even closer to line and shade Story

Only Butch Hobson makes me that concerned every time a ball hit to third

Montgomery is a solid 2/3 who could be pretty good here - and Duvall I don’t think is signed and is good presence in lineup and room - he can platoon

At least get a team that can be 500 and maybe play over there head like the Flyers

Just nuts

I was a player I would just get my own pants and not say nothing about it :snide:...If your not comfortable it will bother your game.
 
I love Devers for calling out FSG. We need "sell the team" chants all season at Fenway.
 
I think when you have a player coming out like that it shows the severe disfunction of the organization.
 
Sign him to a one year deal so you can trade him at the deadline for accelerated prospects.

Even with him they're an 82 win team and last place in the east. I don't see the reason to sign him now that they've given up on the season.
