I do kind of feel bad for Mayo. He's not ready to be a head coach but you really don't turn it down unless you know you're a guarantee for a head coaching position in the future. He has neither the coaching experience or connections. A lot of the new coaches on the staff were former Patriots players or guys Eliot Wolf knew and it has to be the cheapest coaching staff and front office in the league. You get what you pay for i guess.
The fact the same questions can be raised about Revs promoting Curt Onalfo doesn't get enough attention. Two complete dumpster fires at Gillette.

Like KJ Osborn is some stud

Why did he sign here? At this point trade him bourne and uche

Can the whole management and ask mayo if he would stay on as an assistant or keep him as head coach and bring in some actual name assistants who have experience and who’s opinions would hold weight

At this point the only difference between the 2024 Pats and the 1990 Pats is that nobody's sexually harassed Mike Reiss in the locker room during a postgame interview yet

Mayo is giving Dave Lewis vibes. A tough player but a soft coach who doesn’t know where the line sits between “people person” and executive. Expects the guys and assistants to just run the show as he supervises. That isn’t how it works and he should know better. Early part of the learning curve and a lot of mgmt 101 mistakes so far in his tenure. Hopefully he can learn and grow quickly and can play a part in the next gen of Pats success.

The worse call was the phantom PI on Murphy on the second drive for LA

Regardless I doubt they get a TD there since they didn’t score one for 3.5 quarters. Ben Johnson/Sean McVay have exposed Flores D so need to see if they switch it up. Indy, Jax and Ten the next three so no excuse not to be 8-2.

The NFL needs to adopt the XFL/UFL rule where once per game, a team can challenge absolutely anything - a holding call, a pass interference call -- whatever they want.
All they need is an extra official up top that can buzz down and overturn the obvious stuff. The officials could also utilize the booth guy when they are unsure, but that may be wishful thinking on my part.

It's been tough watching my Rams this year with their 2 star WR's and top TE basically missing almost the entire season and their OL missing a minimum of 2 starters every game, but they are starting to get healthy, with Stafford at the helm this is going to be fun to watch.

So ****ing annoying. Rams punt near the end of the first half and some idiot takes a penalty so the ball gets moved back half the distance. Darnold not has no room really to kneel so they run a play and Darrisaw gets rolled up on. Next play he kneels. One of the best LT in the sport gone for the season. Murderous This is why I can never have nice things
