Patriots/NFL 2024 Regular Season: Part II - If the NFL season ended today, the Patriots would have the No. 1 pick in the draft

(sorry couldn't resist)

They should be mathematically eliminated this coming week if they lose to the Bears correct?

Belichick to DAL should be announced the day after DAL misses the playoffs.

Mike McCarthy is a horrible coach, that has consistently held his teams back.

Not that I was rooting for KC but Tampa got what they deserved. Could have gone for two and the win. Instead play for OT and never see the ball.

There's a study that needs to be done on coaches who would rather kick the extra point to tie the game and risk not getting the ball back because of a coin toss instead of going for two when you have momentum for the win
Yep. The analytics can kiss my ass on this one.

I should add that i think it depends on the situation. The Chiefs kicking the extra point there and the Buccaneers doing it aren't the same.

That loss could easily be the difference between playoffs and no playoffs for Tampa. You're 4-4 and up against an elite qb and defense on the road. Ride that wave of momentum and go for 2. I'm sure their odds of winning decreased once it reached overtime anyway.

My tin foil hat theory on why the Chiefs seem to get preferential treatment.....Goodell hates Brady & NE so much that he wants Mahomes & KC to be more successful to take away from Brady & NE dominant run
And they want the pink hat ratings and revenue from the 12 year old girls watching for Kelce's old bag to be shown in the luxury box.

Hell baby
Last nights game completely flipped on a ticky tack call when the Bucs were driving trying to make it 21-10. It flipped the live odds from Bucs favored to Bucs underdog and as we saw they had to settle for 3 and the rest is history

Also Mahomes is a ninny for acting like he blew out his Achilles and then being completely fine

Going from Brandon Staley to Jim Harbaugh

That can happen when you actually do a search and commit the money for a top coach.
Drafting well doesn't hurt either.......Trading up 3 spots to take NE's pick at #34 and drafting WR Ladd McConkey is looking like a really good move. He's basically got the same stats as MH Jr, with one less game.

The whole draft besides the layup that Drake Maye was doesn't look great right now.

Caedan Wallace and Layden Robinson are poorly graded on pff and Ja'Lynn Polk is quite literally the worst ranked wr in the league. The other 4 picks can't even get on the field. If they're not going to spend money in free agency and want to copy "The Packer Way", it's not the best start to surrounding the young qb with talent.

You forgot to mention Jerry Jones. He's another reason Dallas hasn't won anything in 30 years.

I'm still riding with the Lions.

They're very good and I'm happy for Lions fans they've been stuck with terrible teams for the past 40 years or so.
