Kulich is worth very little or he would be in the NHL already.
His RLC sliding years hr played in thr AHL not yhr CHL.

Folks on here have serious biases on CHL players in their 18/19 yr old season in the in thr CHL vs Europe/AHL with adults

That’s the point

No ducks fans wanted to trade him period… Buffalo and Montreal fans just keep asking /shrug
most buffalo fans arent. Anaheim is likely asking the sun/moon for him that he isnt getting in return.

Which leads me to believe we’re not actively trying to get rid of him, like people try to claim

Or maybe Anaheim is not shopping him. Listening and trying to trade are 2 different things

Given the price Buffalo paid for McLeod, the price on Zegras to Buffalo is gonna be a lot.
Anything less than a heist has got to be a No from Anaheim.

I think Zegras is a better fit with Anaheim than Buffalo.
As much as we need quality in our top 6 we need good two way players. I don't think the value for Buffalo is there to reach heist territory.
Rosén+1st 2025 or something similar, using the Reinhart trade as comparable.

Ducks should just keep him imo.

It's hilarious this whole thing. Just yesterday when I opened up my browser was a 'suggested for you' story about how this would be the perfect time for Montreal to trade for Zegras. Absolutely perfect as they could steal him for next to nothing...

No mention at all about what the Ducks might want in return. Of course zero mention at all as to 'why' the Ducks would be willing to sell for a couple of pennies on the dollar. Just 'this is the greatest idea EVER...'

Earlier it was generally assumed that 'if' the Ducks were going to trade Zegras (and there was never ANY indication from the team that they wanted to, only that other teams had called about him), the cost to acquire him would be painful. Very little has changed since then. Unless he does a Slapshotesque striptease out on center ice & screams "I QUIT!!!" then you aren't getting him for a bag of used practice pucks.

Is he in a slump...oh yeah. Of course the whole team is at this moment. Nobody is scoring much of anything but empty nets. If it wasn't for Dostal standing on his head again & again, they'd once again be one of the worst teams in the league. More & more it's looking like the culprit is a coach that won't let the players play to their strengths, but rather demand that they play 'his' way...and his way doesn't work. Unless GMPV fears that 'his' job is on the line (it probably isn't, Cronin otoh...), he won't be making give away a player trade just to show that he's doing 'something'.

So, is he available? Sure, the way most any player in the league is. However the price will most likely be something that will cause the other team to say "We aren't going to pay 'that'..." (followed by lots & lots of stats cherry picked to show Z at his worst & with zero context that might explain said stats)

And Gibson was a > .910 goalie two coaches ago. Are they related other than the common excuse making? Maybe not. But even if not, Gibson kind of serves as a cautionary tale.
What does Gibson have anything to do with this? Zegras has played a total of 42 games since his 65 point sophomore season. It isn't like it was 10 years ago.

I get it, youre upset because Ducks fans didn't want to dump Gibson for nothing in the hope that he would rebound. it's time to get over it.

Cronin has proven to an incapable NHL coach. The Ducks shouldn't be moving anyone below the age of 25 until they fire Cronin.

He does this in every thread regarding Gibson and Zegras. Funny how a 23 year old who was showing star potential and on the upswing all of a sudden forgot how to play hockey, in his eyes. He refuses to see the injuries, new coach, forced to play a different style of hockey, playing with lower level linemates, playing out of position, etc.

What is Anaheim going to do with Zegras?
Hell be fine,

Hes restructured his game, makes better decisions... competes in all 3 zones, doesnt take dumb penalties. Hes basically doing everything everyone complained he didnt do... but the production hasnt taken off yet.... but it will. And when he does hell be a very nice top 6 center... that plays all 3 zones and creative offensively. People just need to learn to be patient, hes still young and still on a not very good team.

Hes been our most dangerous player since going back to center, unfortunetly Gauthier is pretty unlucky/snake bitten... and killorn is just awful.

Even Killorn is looking better since playing with Zegras the last few games. And Gauthier has stopped looking like a rookie. It's been their best line for the 3 games since Zegras was moved to C.

Seriously, it just seems to come down to position. 11 games at the end of last year, plus the most recent 3 games, he's scored 9 points and is +4.

Additionally, out of those remaining 7 points from last season, FIVE of them were scored in games where he played C while Carlsson sat out. So he had only two points as a LW last year.

So by my tally, Zegras (C) is outscoring Zegras (LW) ... FOURTEEN to FOUR, despite playing significantly more games at LW over that span.

Edit: it looks like close to an even split of games at LW vs C. The point stands though, his production triples at C.

Sabres incompetent management will probably give you Thompson, JJ, UPL, Levi, Dahlin, Cozens and a couple draft picks

When you say people you mean like TSN? The rumors have been out there since Drysdale was traded. If its on TSN I believe it since most there have sources. Also the Athletic reported Anaheim was shopping Zegras. If you don't believe either of those then you shouldn't believe anyone ever.

Zegras is the last player that BUF should try to acquire
Who is the first?
