I'll reserve judgement until after the draft on the Pats roster, too much can happen between now and then with free agency and trades.

Chris Simms has own view. Patriots full scout team attend Oregon pro day.
Year Zero rebuild. Trade down, trade back up possible. Fashanu and one of Nix/Penix Jr.,/McCarthy, run home.

Nobody is more wrong about everything NFL related than Simms....except for Clay Travis.

Washington spending lot of time on Maye

I’m all in on Daniels even if he doesn’t want to play here

Sounds like Patriots are aware of reports and exploring moving out of 3

If so they better get multiple 1’s and multiple day two picks

I’m no Johnny f***ing Foxboro on knowledge about JJ, Nix, and Pennix

One has played at highest level. And then followed by the amateur elite class.

Chris Simms had a three years stretch from 2018 and 2020 where he nailed his draft qb rankings. Being low on Daniel Jones and ranking him 6th was really the worst call he made in those three drafts. Besides CJ Stroud though, it's a lot of misses from him since.

I'm not sold on Daniels. Guy is built like a character from Hey Arnold and isn't great at avoiding hits for someone who runs as much as him. Justin Fields with less arm and running strength is my comparison for him. If it was a choice between Daniels or trading down and getting three first rounders + then give me the picks.

Too many here to quote all. I would include the latest edition of Hurts to even things out. Simms has opinion about Brady, okay. Where does this make him wrong now?

If they don't get Ridley, which I don't think they will, I wonder if they re-evaluated taking MHJ at 3 then one of the other QBs in the 2nd or use that 2nd to try and trade up for Nix.

I'm a fairly neutral NFL fan, but I watch more of the Pats than any other team and I'd love to watch MHJ ball out so I'm all in on him at 3.

I will be stunned if Bo Nix is a first round pick. I watched him for years at Auburn be a complete mess. One good year at age 24

Nope.

Not using the #34 overall pick on a guy that's gonna cost $20 million/year.
Hooper would have been great five years ago. Pharoah Brown going to make more than that?

I don't think it makes sense for a contender to give up a valuable pick to pay someone 20+ million a year when money is probably tight but for a team with a lot of cap space and an offense like the Patriots where Douglas is the only guy who even has 1,000 yard pass catching potential, and no one has actually done it for the Patriots. Giving up pick 34 to get a 26 year old wr who has had 153 catches, 2,357 yards and 15 touchdowns the last two years is worth it.
