Hell baby
Here's whats interesting. For their NFL careers:

Lawrence: 50 GP / 63.8% Completion / 11,770 yards passing / 58 TD / 39 INT / 85.0 Rating

Jones: 42 GP / 66.1% Completion / 8,918 yards passing / 46 TD / 36 INT / 85.8 Rating

Jones numbers for his career are right there with Lawrence......who "turned out good"
I’ve seen people make this argument with zero context before, who do you think will be starting in Jacksonville now that they are on the same team with the same numbers? Surely Mac has a chance to win the job right???

he does not, because Lawrence is a much better player than him that honest people would take over him 10 times out of 10

The old perception is always better than reality.

Which makes it a good trade. Trevor gets hurt a lot. This gives him time to heal instead of playing through it like last year

Sometimes you reap what you sow. Jones was a tool.
Jones certainly didn’t conduct himself appropriately at times but Bill taking a steaming shit on the team by giving his unqualified buddies free rein to destroy the offense was a real f*** you to the fans and ownership. Clearly there was a lot of shit festering behind the scenes that we don’t even know about yet.

I hope Zappe gets traded and Mac likes the announcement post right back. Guys a clown.

Patriots pulled a masterclass in ensuring that Mac Jones never had a chance at succeeding. No quarterback prospect is succeeding with Matt Patricia and the worst WR room in the league.
Nobody is going to give them anything for Zappe. Despite a few ardent ball washers here, he was statistically worse than Jones last year in his audition. Even worse is his ego and attitude despite sucking. It’s really something to see…

If Mac never had a chance to succeed, why did he make the playoffs as a rookie when all he had to do was be a game manager? Everyone can admit, hiring Patricia to be oc was stupid, but he worked with two competent coordinators in Josh McDaniels and Bill O'Brien. He became a turnover machine when McDaniels loosened the handcuffs towards the end of his rookie season and defenses learned his weaknesses and he was worse under O'Brien than he was Patricia.

Jonnu Smith had Taylor Heinicke and Desmond Ridder throwing him the ball this season as the fourth option on the Atlanta Falcons and he had more yards than his two seasons where Mac was his qb. That's a consistent theme with the guys the Patriots brought in. Besides Kendrick Bourne, they all got worse when Mac was their qb.

The Jaguars are the only team who made an offer for Mac Jones. Teams know he's an unlikeable brat who sucks and hasn't improved any part of his game in 3 years. He'll bounce around the league for a 2 or 3 years before opening a car dealership in the Tuscaloosa region. He sucked, was never going to be good and never will be good.

exactly, clearly teams weren't buying in. Only trusted to be a back up in lowly Jacksonville

Now let's be fair and honest with this statement, given you've positioned it in a way that makes it sound like Jones was holding Smith back instead of this season being career highs for him in receptions, yards, and targets. And even taking into consideration him having his career season, it still ended up being only 34 yards per game. Hardly the game breaking talent you seem to be implying.

Remind us all again how many teams put a claim in on Zappe when the Pats cut him and he could have been had for nothing? I always forget the exact number...:naughty:

The last dinosaur. And the hireling Patricia failed in three cities. Jones outlasted both.

I would imagine it's Lawernce to lose. You do have to wonder though, why even trade for Jones if you're JAX?

Zappe isn't good enough to be a starter, but he's good enough to be a backup......exceeeeept he sucks when he has to backup the starter. Zappe only looks playable when he practices all week as the starter, a role he's not good enough to fill!

Your backup needs to be able to play in a pinch on a moment's notice. You can't be "good enough to backup" if you can't actually backup.

local kid, need a backup. Beathard is fine but Mac has more upside

But Lawrence #’s are skewed by an awful rookie year with arguably the worst HC in nfl history. Mac’s are skewed by awful years 2 and 3’s. That is a major difference

Lawrence played through injury at the end of this season too, you can bet his teammates love him for that. Hes undoubtedly the better player, it’s not particularly close either

It’s shameful how wrong Belichick did this kid. Flat out f***ing shameful. But that’s him and his bullshit in a nutshell. Complete fraud pushing team over everything except when it comes to his family and friends and his spite. The classic do as I say not as I do type of guy. And he wonders why he doesn’t have a job? Clown.

You are clueless, Matt Chatham summed it up perfectly.

but didn't you say the roster is garbage and it's all Bills fault and he ruined Mac. Which is it. The stats are the stats I don't make them.
Nah you cherry picked a few random ones and ignored the actual shit that matter because you have a weird bias towards a really bad player. He threw a lot of picks and took a lot of sacks. They scored less points per game with him in too. And they lost a lot of games with him. Those are the facts.
