I know we may need more than 1 piece, but we’re guaranteed one trade with their deadline day tradition.

Curious to see if they do more than the 1

I believe many people crying for CGods head before are eating crow for dinner today. At least they should. We're a lot more balanced and deeper now.

I give this deadline already an A+, but I wouldn't complain about getting a legit 4C, insurance D to compete with JJ or backup goalie.

EASports style, we win the cup if we trade for Saros. But that's not going to happen.
So I recall about 90% of the board praising the hell out of him after he acquired RyJo this summer and we know how that turned out.

CMac did a good job yesterday by attempting a legitimate fix to a glaring problem. It remains to be seen how well this addresses the problem. Because even though on paper it looks good, we have no clue yet if it truly helps.

He gets an A for effort. And an incomplete on effectiveness.

If this move truly helps the team on ice, awesome, I will be glad that after 2 years he finally did something to help. And maybe the team can focus on the true goal of another Cup.

It kinda sounds like other teams were offering peanuts for Guentzel. Then last night the Avs came in drop the best offer and the other teams started ponying up actual good assets. Then the Avs threw up their hands said "Too rich for my blood " and backed out.
Avs coming in to drive up the price for all their rivals would be amazing. Since it sounds like we won’t get him, hope he goes to the Canes and not Vegas/Van

I fully understand Girard would not have returned Fatty, it had to be Byram, but relying on Girard this heavily in the postseason is certainly a choice.
They will run a mostly 5D rotation with JMFJ sprinkled in for 10-12 minutes. It's what they did in 2022. Only difference is now Walker replaces Bo.

I have a feeling the Canucks and Bruins will hunker down and get this three team deal done before Vegas swoops in. It makes sense for all involved.
I dont see it... Bruins would be stupid to go for Lindholm. what do canucks have to offer? I see it as bullet dodged on our part... there were so many folks unzipping for Linholm on our board, but dude has been way below average

George sucks. His rebound control last night was atrocious.
Especially with a guy alone in front of him for several seconds who can take his own rebounds and keep shooting until it goes in.

George is really bad when there's no dman 1 mile around.
