Even the "rentals" we've gotten in the past we target and usually re-sign other than Sturm. I believe the goal is to keep Walker around as well. Guentzel would be a pure rental all in move. I'd like this move but I'll be surprised if it's made.

I think I good, pretty relaxed. I already know CMac will make incompetent moves that do nothing of true value to help the team. Setting the bar low and not getting my hopes up makes it better if CMac actually manages to do something.

Yeah naturally because they haven't made many of those moves. But they haven't made many Fatty for Byram type moves either.

Would have been pretty crazy to trade Johansen and a 1st in the offseason after just acquiring him.

Spoken in jest... he was a kid that didn't go crazy off the ice prior to getting thumped in the NHL. Thus he was always a bit of a thicc boi like Kessel. When his talent just didn't elevate him and he learned he had to work off the ice, this comment became outdated... but is still fun to poke fun of.
