We have some cap space now. So with Mitts at only 47% on the dot, is there any 2/3 line wingers that are good on faceoffs?

I don't think you really want any term right now. The Avs have 10 forwards under contract next year with Mitts as an arbitration eligible RFA. On defense 4 of the top 5 defensemen are signed with Behrens and Malinksi as young depth options. Having another skater with term would actually limit the flexibility in the summer to make tweaks and hopefully avoid and contract issues with Mitts.

Now a goalie that is cheap with term might be a different story.

I have to admit, I thought a 3rd team would be needed to get Casey. It felt like a pipe dream.

I love it.. 1C, 1W, 1D, 2D, 2C, 3C, 3D all locked in. Everything else is way easier to get at the TDL except a starting goalie.

4C, and a goalie now, but..

I think if we went for a high priced rental I'd like Noah. He hasn't moved yet has he? Maybe you can decide between him and Girard after the playoffs. Options baby

I wonder if they'll Re-sign Walker in the summer. Don't think the cap space will be available but like we saw before the Avs tend to try and re-sign rentals at least.

Could see them moving Manson and keeping Walker especially if he plays well for us.

Options are nice..

I am just over the moon we got a long term solution at 2C. No more really difficult pieces to get.

Anyone has the list of 4C's and LD's available?
The 300# gorilla in the room - this year and next - is whether Landy comes back.

But with a 2024 1st plus $4.9M in AAV available, I'd suggest looking for a deal for a 3c:

1) If the Roaring 20's line can be kept together for the 4th, line, it would clearly be the best 4th in the NHL, and better than most 3rd.

2) Mac - Mitts - Wenberg / Lindhold, etc - Colton is some pretty strong backbone. Even if it were just a rental in hopes of Ritchie jumping in next year as a 3C

3) This looks freaking good:

Drouin - Mac - Nuke
Lehky - Mitts - Mikko
Landy - Lindholm / Wennberg - Parise
Wood - Colton - LOC

I take back everything I said. This has been a masterclass. And they gained more cap room… anything else?
