I still wouldn't draw any conclusions from that. If there is no interest from other teams at this point (and why would there be before he completes the program), what else is there to say? They are stuck with him.
Once he's completed the program we'll just keep him though. The whole reason to trade him is to remove uncertainty. When his value goes up for everyone else it goes up for us as well, so nothing's really changed.

The point all this time has been is the Avs locker room ready to welcome him back. If they want him back, they will have him back. Doesn't matter damn what us fans think. It's obvious, that if Val is OK that's one of the best value contracts in the league and his on ice performance is hard if not impossible to replicate.

Told ya Val’s gonna be back with the Avs if he doesn’t scorew up in the program
he has to come back or the Avs aren't a playoff team

They know they need him and want him back

Oh f***ing please. The Central is not THAT good. We have three top-3 players in their respective positions. That will carry to the playoffs every single time, unless we lose like two of them for an extended period of time.

Toronto fans seem to be open to the idea of moving Kampf, so perhaps that could be a possible 3C replacement if Colton gets moved.

Send them something like pick #71 that Utah gave us, and then the NYR 2025 2nd to a 3rd team to retain 50% to get him at $1.2mx3. Then you've effectively traded down from 24th to 38th (14 spots) to get a checking line center who can PK and take draws well for $1.2mx 3 years. And you can still recover some pick value by trading Colton for futures too (or just simply trade Colton for Kampf+ directly if TML want Colton). And comfortably re-sign Drouin.

Well I might have been exaggerating although the Preds should be better.

They certainly won’t go anywhere without him that's for sure.

Apparently NYR willing to retain $2.5mx2 to bring Trouba down to $5.5mx2 for the Wings. Curious to see what that contract gets in return.

Not that I know a lot about the the remaining players available early in the 2nd round but IMO Ellick would be a really good pick for us. A RHD with size that is a really really good skater with some physicallity. The offense is a question mark but we already have guys to do that. As long as he can move the puck decently IMO he would be a very good option as a Manson replacement.
