The same thing was being said last year and now the class is looking pretty good. Habs hockey ops have been doing pretty darn good in recent years. Random posters not knowing who the draft picks are doesn't mean a thing.

Viktor Norringer from Sweden is a sneaky good selection for Nashville. I was kind of hoping we would take a late swing on him, as someone that wasn't getting much traction, but has some good tools, a late birthday and potential.

Protz is to eventually replace Xhekaj who probably has an assets value too tempting not to trade in the short term.

Honestly if he continues to develop, he'll be better than Xhekaj. He's better at reading the play and better defensively. Very physical. Not as good of a shot. Not a bad skater either.

Foot speed is a bit of an issue for him, but there have been much worse skaters with much worse stats taken much higher

Yes...so they can bash the Florian Xhejak pick because they looked at his stats.

Not many in here have followed the players going in these rounds closely. The regional scouts have watched them in person several games and talked to everyone who ever coached them as well as several teammates.
