Nope, there are two draws. If San Jose or Shitcago win #1, another team up to #12 in the standings might still leapfrog us, so that San Jose/Shitcago gets #3 and we get #4.So if Chicago or San Jose win the lottery we are guaranteed 3? Not sure how this works.
So absolute worst case scenario at 5, most likely 3 or 4?Nope, there are two draws. If San Jose or Shitcago win #1, another team up to #12 in the standings might still leapfrog us, so that San Jose/Shitcago gets #3 and we get #4.
Spots 4 or 5 are the most likely, since the odds are good that at least one team will jump them, and there's a good chance that two do. This is a great site for examining those odds: 2024 NHL Draft Lottery Odds | TankathonSo absolute worst case scenario at 5, most likely 3 or 4?

It's always amused me that the least likely spot the Ducks (or any other team) will pick is the position they actually finished in. Ducks have only an 8% chance of drafting 3rd. It's not until the 8th pick and later that the odds are greater that you'll pick in the spot you finished. i really like him as well, but i do wonder how much his numbers were inflated due to playing for a team that outscored the opposition by a ridiculous amount. his skating and hockey IQ are off the charts thoughI'm now on the Buium train. Kid upped his stock alot in past few weeks. Sounds like a great kid from Laguna Niguel, it said his parents are immigrants from Israel. I have a cousin who lives in Israel atm.
Its mainly the IQ and skating that I like but also that he played well in playoffs. Verbeek seems to be all in on hockey sense with guys like Carlsson and Mintyukov.i really like him as well, but i do wonder how much his numbers were inflated due to playing for a team that outscored the opposition by a ridiculous amount. his skating and hockey IQ are off the charts though
i think they end up picking dickinson, but i wouldn't be mad if buium or lindstrom are the picks either
NHL ows us one.. They better rig the lottery for us.. But we all know Chicago is going to get Celebrini.

Whats interesting is Zeev Buium - Men's Ice Hockey - University of Denver Athletics has him listed as 6'2 180 pounds. That is only a inch shorter than Dickinson and the same height as Levshunov.
Most likely 4 or 5 actually. The least chance is for #3 actually. So absolute worst case scenario at 5, most likely 3 or 4?
It's all about the combine measurements now...if he measures 6'2" he should go top 5 for sure.EP has Zeev listed at 6'0 and 183 lbs. Central Scouting also has Zeev at 6'0 and 183 lbs. Tankathon has Zeev listed at 6'0 and 183 lbs.
Zeev's brother is listed at 6'4. If you go back a page, then you'll find a tweet showing both brothers as Zeev is being interviewed. Zeev is a lot shorter than two inches to his brother.
How would this teams defense look in 3 years if they draft a Dman ?
Defense:
Mintyukov/Luneau
Zellweger/Dickinson (playing on his offside, someone will end up having to)
LaCombe/Hinds/Warren
I think it depends on the player. If an overage player dominates because their physical gifts (speed, size, etc) then I am way more worried then an overager that dominates because of their overall game and hockey IQ. Levshunov is probably the guy most likely to fit this bill.Celebrini - 2006 - June 13th

Didn't realize Eiserman was one of the youngest in this draft class, perhaps changes his perspective even if slightly. I always find it interesting to see who the youngest and oldest prospects are in each class. Some of these guys will barely be 18 in time for training camp, while others turn 19 before next season starts. Its definitely something scouts consider.
Celebrini, Helenius, Dickinson, Eiserman, Parekh, Iginla, Parascak, Silayev among others, are having or have had huge years for kids in their age 17 seasons.

Eiserman is obviously a posterchild, but God he just brings nothing except his one skill. He can't even drive a line because he doesn't play with the puck.
Buium is also left-handed but I'm not sure if he is comfortable playing his off side. Why would you put Dickinson on his off-side when Zell has been playing RD in juniors, AHL, and NHL so far?
Left shooting D that have played exclusively RD in juniors or NCAA: LaCombe (NCAA), Zell (juniors), and Hinds (juniors).
On PK
LaCombe-Hinds/Warren
Dickinson-Luneau
On PP
PP1 QB Zell
PP2 Minty-Luneau
