If I had to put the second group into 2 tiers I would do it like this:

Celebrini
---
Demidov
Eiserman
Levshunov
Silayev
Dickinson
Lindstrom
---
Catton
Helenium
Yakemchuk

Celebrini is outscoring Fantilli season last year in the NCAA so I think it is safe to say he would be in the same tier as Fantilli and Carlsson.

Celebrini is scoring at a similar pace to Fantilli as rookies, but Celebrini is doing it a year younger as a freshman. It's gonna be fun watching the WCJ knowing a few 2024 draftees will be participating. The three I know off-hand are Celebrini and two Finns (Helenius and Hemming).

Fantilli’s pace is actually a bit ahead of Celebrini’s.
Fantilli - 1.81 ppg
Celebrini - 1.67 ppg

Celebrini did have a better D-1 year though at Chicago so I’d say they are a bit of a wash in terms of production. Likely Fantilli out produced in the NCAA due to greater physical development and a deeper team.
Chicago ppg
Celebrini - 1.72 ppg
Fantilli - 1.37 ppg

What Fantilli has going for him that Celebrini didn’t is his near perfect NHL physique. If you had to make a physical template of what the ideal NHL players physical build would look like, you would probably end up with something pretty closely resembling Fantilli.

What Celebrini has going for him is the fact he is like 8 months younger with more room to grow physically. As well as from what I gather, greater vision and IQ.

Jiiricek, Buium, and Ustinkov as well. Also “you stink of” would be a great name for a play by play guy I feel like, especially if he pulls a dirty hit or shoot out goal or what not.

Fantilli is listed at 6'2 and 194 lbs, by Elite Prospects (EP). Celebrini is 6'0 and 192 lbs and is 8 months younger than Fantilli while in college. Fantilli was 18 years old in college while Celebrini will turn 18 years old 15 days before the 2024 draft. What Fantilli has over Celebrini are 2 inches in height and elite speed. I'm more impressed with what Celebrini is doing at his age, tbh.

Good catch. Not sure how I botched that math haha.

What has been going on with Demidov for him to be so far down on your list? I haven’t watched him much but I thought he was supposed to be a top 3 talent?

Recently posted a quote from Cam Robinson about Demidov being frustrating to watch. Low energy and one dimensional. Perhaps some scouts are getting visions of Filatov dancing in their heads.

People defending him would say he isnt very motivated playing in a league he clearly is too good for.

If they win pick 1 twice in a row people are going to riot. I see them getting pick 2 so they can be gifted Lindstrom to provide shelter for Bedard.
Don't worry, Chicago will get a first out of thin air that will magically turn out to be #1. Since they technically didn't win the lottery, they will be gifted #1 in 2025 as well to draft Misa. Yes, I have _that much_ trust in Bettman by now.

Thats not all they are gonna win the 1st overall pick in 2026 so they can draft Bedard's cousin McKenna

Chicago will have McKenna/Bedard on top line and a Misa/Celebrini on a 2nd line.

I wouldn’t bet Misa goes 1st over all next year. He is good and will likely go high but he hasn’t done a whole lot to show he is a bonafide first overall pick, at least compared to his competition. Hagens, Martone, McQueen, Benak, and Ekberg all come to mind as players who could challenge the title.

Eiserman down to 8 on TSNs mid season list.

There are a lot of hot takes though, especially in the top 10.

gotta link, please? I tried googling it and I'm not having good luck today. thanks in advance!

As for Eiserman moving down and out of the top-5, TSN isn't the only scouting media doing that. It's not really a hot take if other people are noticing his play is only centered around elite scoring.

THN not TSN* Sorry.

That actually isnt the hot take.
These are:
2. Catton
4. Buium
10: Greentree
15: Silayev
20: Levshunov
27: Yakemchuk
45: Ritchie

Levshuvnov and Silayev being that low is outrageous, but even though I wouldn’t put him at 4, I don’t understand why more pubs don’t seem to have Buium in the back half of the top 10. Is there something I’m missing there?
This, WJC may be a coming out party for Buium, OC kid as well.

Yeah, imagine Silayev on our blue line. We already get the most outrageous calls against us and it appears the refs are, in unison, hating on our franchise. We'd be getting penalties left and right and have to survive 10 PKs a game.

The only counter to that is what if he gets 2 minute penalty for a clean hit that knocks Bedard out of the rest of the game. At least he'd be getting his money's worth with the penalties if that happens lol.

I'm not sure it's physically possible for him to lay a clean check on Bedard. He'd probably get thrown out for a knee to the head if he tried.
