If I had to put the second group into 2 tiers I would do it like this:
Celebrini
---
Demidov
Eiserman
Levshunov
Silayev
Dickinson
Lindstrom
---
Catton
Helenium
Yakemchuk
Celebrini is outscoring Fantilli season last year in the NCAA so I think it is safe to say he would be in the same tier as Fantilli and Carlsson.
Fantilli’s pace is actually a bit ahead of Celebrini’s.
Fantilli - 1.81 ppg
Celebrini - 1.67 ppg
Celebrini did have a better D-1 year though at Chicago so I’d say they are a bit of a wash in terms of production. Likely Fantilli out produced in the NCAA due to greater physical development and a deeper team.
Chicago ppg
Celebrini - 1.72 ppg
Fantilli - 1.37 ppg
What Fantilli has going for him that Celebrini didn’t is his near perfect NHL physique. If you had to make a physical template of what the ideal NHL players physical build would look like, you would probably end up with something pretty closely resembling Fantilli.
What Celebrini has going for him is the fact he is like 8 months younger with more room to grow physically. As well as from what I gather, greater vision and IQ.
Celebrini is scoring at a similar pace to Fantilli as rookies, but Celebrini is doing it a year younger as a freshman. It's gonna be fun watching the WCJ knowing a few 2024 draftees will be participating. The three I know off-hand are Celebrini and two Finns (Helenius and Hemming).
Jiiricek, Buium, and Ustinkov as well. Also “you stink of” would be a great name for a play by play guy I feel like, especially if he pulls a dirty hit or shoot out goal or what not.
