I like Celebrini’s game and he’s got a ton of potential and I’d love to win the lottery and draft him.

Am I the only one who is a little thrown off by his interviews? He seems like an extremely nice kid. Very sweet. Easy to like. But kind of in a very, very young way. Like an 8 year old kinda.

I volunteer for a church club and I have about 25 K-2nd graders that I’m a leader for. Also coach mites. So I’ve got about 15 K-2nd graders that I coach. I also have two sons in that age group. It’s an age I know well.

Celebrini just seems just a lot different from Bedard, Fantilli, Cooley, Wright, etc, etc. A lot different than most top prospects that I can recall. The only time I ever remember chatter like this was around Jesse Puljujarvi. He seems so much…younger. I don’t want to say immature. In a teenager that usually means arrogant or reckless or rude or whatever. It’s not that at all.

Somebody just tell me I’m crazy and I should shut up. But if you kinda get what I’m saying, also feel free to say so. I haven’t heard anyone else mention it ever. So maybe I’m just way off.

I’ve read and heard that him and Cole Eiserman are best friends and go way back. Eiserman comes off like a 25 year old in interviews. So that says something to me. That maybe I’m reading too much into a 17 year old in awkward interviews.

With the Coyotes paying special attention to Loko I’m last year’s MHL playoffs, I’m sure they got plenty of good looks at Silayev.

Another player that strikes me as just their type is Dean Letourneau. Could be a huge riser. He’s a giant center. Recruites claimed he’s 6’7 209 at last measurement at St Andrews College. He was teammates with Jonathan Costagna last season so they certainly got many looks at this big beast. Scouting reports indicate a size, skating, skill, meanstreak combo. He’s headed to Northeastern after the draft.

Watching Silayev in last years finals (his team won) he’s extremely good defensively. You can’t get by him. Long, active stick. Puck stripping machine. Does not have that separation speed Simashev has but boy can he change directions well and pivot well for a giant kid.

We are going to need players like him and Simashev because after getting McDavid for his first 5+ years we are about to have the next new generational talent in our division.

There's a very good chance Chicago will be adding Celebrini, Demidov or Eiserman to that generational talent, and they have Tampa's pick. Bedard, Moore, Nazar, Reichel, Korchinski along with one of those three, and Chicago is starting to come together nicely. I look forward to this rivalry in four to five years.

Bedard projected at 1C. Reichel projected at 1RW. Korchinski projected at 1LD.

I know those projections don't dictate what the coach will actually do, but you can see that it won't be very easy to shelter these rookies. That's the downside of the scorched earth tank.

I’ll take free prospect content, for sure. But I’d like to issue an “rt Advisory” for my fellow Yotes fans. I strongly believe Bukala is a fraud. I think he’s living off his credentials and doesn’t put in the work to watch the prospects. He says so many things that nobody who watches these kids could possibly say. Not because of a difference of opinion. Factual errors. And not small ones.

He said Daniil But is a risky pick because he probably doesn’t have 2C upside. He’s probably more like a safe bet type 3C. 1) he didn’t play C in any game at any point all of last season 2) he’s 100% upside - he’s not a gamble because he’s “too safe”. - These are not disagreements or little mistakes. I don’t believe he watched a single Loko game. I’d bet on that.

I'm with you...as soon as I hear a true factual mistake, but the source is preaching like it's gospel, well, I'll just stop and never consider their opinion again. I might read small snippets here and there, but I don't give them any credit and certainly don't use them as sources.

Arsen Taimazov is a big (6’4 or 6’5) RD that can skate and defend. Playing for Dynamo Moskva in the MHL. Teammates with Igor Chernyshov.

I’d clip this rush but this hfboards website is from 1999 and can’t handle it. So ffwd to 9:30 remaining in the 2nd: 8.09.2023. МХК «Динамо» МСК – «Амурские Тигры» | (OLIMPBET МХЛ 23/24) – Прямая трансляция

I clipped a really nice short handed steal to a quick bit of puck handling and a nice shot followed by a huge body check but Chernyshov earlier in this game (typical Chernyshov shift) but again, I can’t post it.

If you want to see it, it’s right at the beginning of the 2nd. Like 19:45 remaining in the 2nd.
Been really impressed with Taimazov this season.

He is teammates with Chernyshov so I've seen him play a bunch of games. Last season he was very raw and very mistake prone. You could see the size, skating, and mean streak. But man the hockey sense just wasn't there. He looks MUCH better this season. Really impressive. Should be a riser.

And I just discovered that Taimazov has a very famous father. 3x Olympic Gold Medalist heavyweight wrestler from Uzbekistan. Most decorated Uzbek Olympian of all-time:

His dad wrestled at 6’3 265. His son is listed at 6’4 but I believe he’s at least 6’5.

Really loving Yakemchuk’s first couple of games this season. Picking right back up where he left off last season. Kid has to play over 30mins per night. Crazy. Top pair, PP1, PK1, all situations. 6’3 RD, offensive defenseman who loves to throw hits and mix it up physically. Always yapping and in the center of every scrum.

Plays a lot like a fifth forward offensively and in transition. Big gambler. But I do love that when he’s in the zone defending, he takes care of the house. Big, strong and solid against established possession in the zone. Good penalty killer for that reason. Obviously a leader on the team, too.

He was 13th on Bob McKenzie’s pre-season scouting poll. Could be right in our range. He’s really old for his draft year so could be ready sooner.
