There isn’t really an argument to make that having less picks is better. They do a good job of accruing picks, even if they are in the later rounds

To me, the drop-off in goalie talent from round 2 to round 3 is kind of pretty massive. Why even take any of these guys in this round?

They have good PR and are in the good graces of guys like Jeff Marek who love to fawn over them. Same thing with Tom Fitzgerald and the Devils.

Drury doesn’t talk to anyone, and it makes the main NHL media guys bitter that they don’t get talking points for one of the biggest markets
