Imagine what it would take to trade for a guy like Kaprisov. Would be a hell of a lot more than the 9th overall pick and a mid round pick/prospect....

Flames trying to trade up is for a D.. I don't think Tij to Flames at 9 is the slam dunk people have talked about. I think it's unnecessary pressure on a player who will have enough pressure from being a top 10 pick.

Yes, he very much is, lol. He's also young and cost controlled and was available for a fourth rounder. He would've been our 7th best scorer. We're not at a point were we can just ignore this type of gambles.

The only way we would do that is if Demidov isn't our guy we are getting a roster ready premium and we an still score with our next two picks.
The odds of that being possible are about zero.

I'd consider moving down if they were both gone. Or I'd just draft Levshunov or Dickinson at 5 and then make a trade with a package of 21 + one of our defense prospects for a young top 6 winger.

Use where? Did you find a taker for Gallagher and Anderson? Cause with Gallagher, Anderson, Roy, Dvorak, Evans, Pazetta and cie i see no place for depth before another 2 years at least outside of if a kid do very well in the AHL.
