Demidov will be picked if he is there at 5. We are not trading our pick then.
Lindstrom is too risky for me at 5. One of those picks that makes you look like a genius or a dummy. Chronic back issues can come back and then think about the style of game he plays and how the NHL can wear you out. I see the potential but the risks are not small.
I like Dickenson too. But I also like the list of guys you seen in the post you replied to. Levshunov and Silyayev have top 4D potential for me but they might be off the board at 5 anyways. I do like Dickenson over the other two.
So from these 5 guys, I'd be passing on Lindstrom and you likely have only Dickenson on the board. I like my chances with who is on the board at 9 and 10. Those can hits just like Dickenson
Fair point, I am concerned by the back as well.
Its too damn close to change all of our minds anyways, and truthfully, between 2-14 a redraft could look completely different in 3-4 years. I personally love Dickinson. I have him as the 2nd best player in this draft. I just see him as such a safe pick with a very high floor. I have watched him a ton, including in numerous games with Mailloux. I am a Mailloux booster, but Dickinson to my eye, just looks that much better. Factoring in team needs however, and I put DIckinson 5th on my team draft board. Here is my top 5 BPA today.
Celebrini
Dickinson
Levshunov
Demidov
Lindstrom
Here is my Habs draft board one day out from the draft....
Celebrini
Demidov
Levshunov
Lindstrom
Dickinson
Silyayev
Iginla
Catton
Senecke
Buium
Parekh
Helenius
Eiserman
Realistically, I only have my eye on two forwards. If we miss out, I will be happy with one of those three D-men. If we go something like Iginla, Catton or Sennecke, I will be okay with it and trust the scouts. If it's Buium or Parekh, I will be cautiously optimistic.
If it's Helenius, I will shocked but still optimistic that he is some sort of Suzuki part 2. I will immediately jump to the conclusion that
@Goldenhands is somehow related to Geoff Molson.
If Eiserman.....shocked as well....but intrigued by his scoring prowess.
