Another name to keep an eye on:

Anton Silayev

6'7, 200lb left shot dman out of Russia with 4 assists in 4 KHL games so far.
Yeah, he has 17:47 ATOI in Torpedo, which won all 4 games. Head coach is Igor Larionov, his team plays wonderful hockey at this moment.
Silayev plays both on PP and PK and has 7 hits, 7 blocks, 5 SOG in 4 games.

I liked the sharks’ draft this year. Another bad (good) tank, and they could actually have several good prospects in the system aft years of Wilson trading away picks.

He’s a good skater for his size too. I really really want to package PIT 1st and NJD 1st to hopefully get another pick in the top 10. Obviously depends where they land but I think we could end up with either a top line prospects and top pair prospect or two top pair prospects.

With hypothetically 3 2nds (ours, Barabanov, and Duclair), could be a huge draft year.

Although I appreciate your idea, as I’ve been somewhat of a proponent of getting as many shots in the top 10 as possible, in this particular draft, I think you just take the BPA (on your board). Some guys slip(Musty). why force it when you could stand pat and get a guy who may have been projected in the top 10, around 12 or 13? Also, can someone clarify the NJD conditional pick. One mock has us with their 2024 1st, so we have 3 1sts, and others have NJD keeping their 1st.

Why take the risk that the guy you like is going to fall?

I doubt they’d like someone so much they’d be willing to give up draft capital to get him If he’s not a legit top 5 prospect.
This draft is kind of similar to the 2021 draft where there’s a bunch of guys around the same level. I think PIT’s pick falls right outside that. There’s no point in building depth if our top end is bad. I guess the better way to look at it is would you rather have had Beniers and Clarke or Beniers, Svechkov, Allen?

I got the feeling today that we're gonna get lottery'd and end up with the 2nd or 3rd pick and will select Demidov, assuming he has a year indicative of a future franchise D.

Demidov is not a defensemen though. He is one of only 2 or 3 high end forwards that could go in the top 10.

I feel like we need to get our future #1 or #2 defencemen from this draft, since they are so hard to draft and their development takes time. Of course I will not be mad if they luck into Celebrini or Demidov, but this seems like the year to not be totally mad with a #3-#6 pick either.

ah, i confused him with Levshunov. I clearly know nothing about the players, it was more the option of going for D as a strategy
