Note that if next year the BPA happens to be a d-man, as it's already scheduled, though it can change, I want the Habs to pick a d-man. Left or right. BPA available. Always.

1st round will be better next year. The entirety of it.

Isnt 2023 universally seen as a much stronger draft? I can’t see 2024 being ranked ahead

Was tough to pry first-rounders from GM’s grasp this year. Draft was deep.

Wonder how tough it’ll be to pry a 2024 1st from GMs?

Pronman put out a 2024 top 32 in mock draft form. Here's the top 10:

1. C Macklin Celebrini
2. LW Cole Eiserman
3. RW Ivan Demidov
4. LD Sam Dickinson
5. RW Michael Brandsegg-Nygard
6. RD Carter Yakemchuk
7. RD Artyom Levshunov
8. LD Aron Kiviharju
9. RD Charlie Elick
10.C Konsta Helenius

Ivan Demidov. I need to know that there's actually a possibility that we draft him. Please.

How is everyone going to view the games this season ? Would like to put in more views as I haven't been able to watch as many players in recent years.

Did not took too long before we already have the new best Russian prospects since the last two decade

Doesn't have a ten thousand year contract in the KHL, will be around 6 feet tall, better skater, more well rounded.

Yeah I'd say they would pick him.

Yet. Guaranteed, he signs a 3 year contract sometime this summer, or over this coming season. Pressure is on to not allow these kids to walk to NHL- early anyway. His current contract ends 2025.

Montreal doesn't want high end prospects developing in Russia for 3 years, or longer with close to zero club contact.

We need to be bad.
I would argue at this point we need to start competing again and we will soon need to be agressive on the trade market/ufa market.

But if we want Demidov, which would be sick, yeah we will need to be very, very bad.

Hopefully he sees how the contract harmed Michkov and doesn't give in.

Either way, I'm focusing in on Boisvert, Hage and Brandsegg. I think someone will pop from that group and will be the next one behind the big 3 forwards and most likely our target in the top ten.

Big fan of Boisvert him since 2019-20 in the LHPS with St Joseph

Only good word on his attitude and work ethic too

He was my #1 prospect for the Q last year before D’Aigle, Lavoie and Masse

Yeah, I'm pretty sure all 3 are going to be considerations when the time comes.

All 3 bring good size too. 2023 was overall a talented, but smaller sized group.

2024 actually has good sized forwards throughout the draft, and real size on D.
