Konsta is a serious prospect. He's usually more of a playmaker but the assists haven't really come for him yet this year. But it's nice to see that he can rip it.

Can't wait to see him at WJC. I really want Konsta to be a potential 1st line player because we need as many options of that depending on where this team finishes

Looks like I turned it off just before it started to get good.

Parascak up to 17 goals.
Wow! I just looked it up and this is a crazy story. The kid who was cut from the team last year leads the WHL in goals and is third in scoring. Definitely, it is worth to keep an eye on him. He is not small at 5-11 and can skate judging by the clips posted.

Hawks getting both Bedard and Celebrini would be like giving them a brand new version of Kane and Toews again.

Except much better than Toews and Kane.

Celebrini looks better than Toews at the same age by quite a bit.
Bedard looks more generational than Kane.

There's nothing wrong with coming out of this draft with Catton or Demidov.. or even Lindstrom, Helenius, MBN.

Any one of those guys will add talent and depth up front.

I agree, as much as I think we are missing a guy like Celebrini to complete the rebuild, I see a path where we draft 2 times in the top 15 to achieve the same outcome.

Ie. if we are draft 6-10, I think we have to trade our way back in the top 16.

Regarding Boisvert : it seems the American system is better at developing Québécois players than the actual QMJHL. Sad.

I know Hockey Québec has done a huge turn-around in the past few years, but the effects will take time to show. For now, an elite young QCois is better served going the OHL or NCAA route than the QMJHL one.

Not just for the Q. Even some top canadians prospects take that route now. Celebrini, Fantilli.

Louis Leblanc was an avant-gardiste.

Honestly its normal, hockey was a north american thing and mainly quebec thing 50 years ago. So quebecois had a massive presence throughout the league.

As it is getting more and more popular, we simply dont have the resources nor the demographic to compete against USA, Europe and Russia.

I expect in a couple of decades to see Americans and Europeans dominate the sport (its already started) much more than Canadians. Quebecois in the NHL will become an exception like a small european country like Switzerland.

As Montreal Canadiens, its time we stop the favoritism for local (im not against having local talent, just no favoritism) and its time we kill the label of a local coach. The options are becoming very thin and we are shooting ourselves in the foot big time with such restriction.
